"The staff was quite friendly. On a down side, there was no mention at the time of booking that the hotel was undergoing a major renovation. One of the reasons that we selected this hotel was the onsite restaurant. This was closed. The construction noise above our room was as horrible as it possibly could be. However, the hotel was happy to relocate us to a different room.

"Though historic, hotel is in need of upkeep and “reviving”. Upon entering, smells musty. Our 3rd floor room had nice view, but furniture is worn/stained. Bedding & towels comfy. No directions posted for fire-exits, which is a concern on 3rd floor with old/paint sealed windows. Lovely grass area out front. No option for dining or breakfast."
"This is a delightfully unique property with outstandingly friendly, polite and attentive staff. It may be owned by a big chain, but it is as charming and gracious as any bed and breakfast inn. We feel we found the best accommodations in Juneau and right down the street (4-5 miles) from the only glacier park you can drive to. Our room (201) was spacious, clean, cozy and well appointed. I am a particularly fussy traveler but have to say I was so pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this...
