We booked this months ago and travelled from all over Australia to meet. After a 12 hour trip it was frustrating that we were required to submit mobile phone numbers for each person (something I considered unnecessary & when I rang to query the need I was told to “make up the numbers” so the booking could be completed). It would also be nice (for the cost of the property) to at least have a teabag and some milk (rather than have to find a shop) on arrival ! The supplies were also lacking (2 tea towels for a 9 day stay for 8 people, no dishwashing liquid etc although these were provided when requested) (after the weekend). The instructions on checking out also are not clear ie what are you supposed to do with the used linen? You are very detailed as what not to do!! The property is very noisy- sound echoes and with a 3 year old this was difficult. Doors rattle when it is windy, water came in through one of the louvred windows (the top was flywire only) and there were no door mats so keeping the floor dry going in and out was a hassle. There was mold on windows, one bathroom was tiny, nowhere to hand a towel with no ventilation. The sliding doors are unable to be locked, are extremely difficult to open and close and old hands find them extremely difficult. The cleaning requirements on vacating we’re also onerous (we have left every property we have stayed in clean and tidy and have never been threatened with having to pay a cleaning crew if it’s not considered up to scratch)
