The cottage was absolutely charming. It was warm and quiet and was a perfect base for exploring the areas around. Inside there were so many quirky, fun, clever bits of interior design to enjoy. And the hosts, Ann and Pete were delightful and helpful, living right next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay.

Absolutely best place we have ever stayed. Cozy, well appointed, beautiful village. Generous welcome basket with cookies/snacks and helpful welcome folder. Ann was available, helpful and kind. Would have stayed longer if we could have!Narrow roads for us Americans - but worth the views. Our favorite activity was walking to the nearby park/playground and discovering the footpath. Hilly, adventurous and found some sheep and donkeys.

Un séjour inoubliable dans un cottage accueillant et chaleureux d’une propreté impeccable. Une cuisine très bien équipée, un salon confortable muni d’un foyer au bois qui nous réchauffe à la fin d’une journée plutôt nuageuse et frisquette. Une literie et un lit qui permettent une nuit de tout repos. Des petites attentions à l’arrivée qui sont les bienvenues. Tout pour nous plaire. Quel endroit merveilleux pour visiter cette magnifique région des Cotswolds. Ann nous a aussi très bien informés sur la façon de se rendre au cottage, sur les services, restaurants et activités de la région et a répondu rapidement à toutes nos questions. Nous recommandons hautement à toute personne désirant séjourner dans cette région.

Superbe cottage au calme avec une jolie vue

L'arrivée était tres bien indiquée pour éviter certaines routes un peu étroites. Le cottage est au calme, tout en étant à 5 minutes à pieds d'un pub bien agréable. Le salon est petit mais tres cosy, la cuisine tellement jolie avec son banc devant la fenêtre que j'adore.La vue au calme et au frais le soir dans le jardin était idéaleBref, un super séjour; Merci

3 night stay

My only regret with renting the cottage is not staying longer. My wife and two friends and I had one week in Europe. We stayed two nights in London, two nights in Paris, and three nights here. It was a perfect way to end our very busy week. There is so much to do in the area, we were only able to use the cottage as a way to rest our heads for the night.The hosts were on a holiday themselves when we arrived. So, unfortunately we were unable to meet them In person. Communication was very good and straightforward.If we ever visit the area again, I will definitely be looking to stay here. Mike

Beautiful restoration of stone cottage in the hills of France Lynch. Wonderful attention to details and comfort. Charming hosts. Wonderful location for our excursions into Painswick and Cirencester. Just delightful.

Beautiful cosy cottage

Perfect cottage for myself and a friend. Great location for us, very peaceful but close enough to nearby towns and a stone’s throw from the local pub The Kings Head where everyone was very welcoming. The owners of the cottage had thought of everything! It was beautifully decorated and dressed…absolutely faultless. It was lovely and warm, especially with the log burner that, as it was cold enough, we were able to use. Would definitely like to rerun. Thanks Ann and Peter!

New Year’s Getaway

What a beautiful property and amazing hosts. From the moment we arrived with the welcome bottle of champagne and goodies, we felt perfectly at home. There are too many fabulous details to capture here, though I will note that it was such a joy to look at the beautiful decor and perfectly chosen accessories throughout the house. And that kitchen! It became the gathering point as it was so cozy and good-sized at the same time.Ann was great in her communications. We had two additional guests who wanted to join us for New Year’s, and Ann was so understanding and kind in accommodating them at the last minute. This is without a doubt a perfect place and we are definitely going to return.

Lovely cottage

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were lovely people and the rental well appointed to self cater. It was not too difficult to navigate to the surrounding areas for sightseeing. Many areas to walk nearby as well. We enjoyed the local pub too 😉 Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay in the southern Cotswolds

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The property was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The location was ideal, providing easy access to the Cotswolds and the city of Bath. Additionally, having a quality pub just a 5-minute walk away was a great bonus. Highly recommended if you are looking to visit the area.

Wonderful Cottage and People

Ann and Peter are incredible hosts. Oxford Cottage House was the highlight of our stay in England and our home base for our day trips to Bath, Gloucester, Oxford, and Bourton-On-The-Water. The cottage is cozy, immaculate, and the view of the valley is beautiful. This is a warning. You might be tempted to stay forever. Our trips to the village pub, Kings Head, only a few minutes walk up the road, were a ton of fun as Joe, the owner, his family, and other villagers, helped us feel at home. Ask about Singo-Bingo if you do visit the Kings Head.
