The views in heaven will have a hard time beating the views from this unit. It sits directly atop the mountain ridge between the lake and the Carson Valley, and the master bedroom and living room look out over the whole lake. The master bedroom is beautifully furnished. But let's be frank - it comes at a premium price, at which you expect certain standards. And sadly, this unit has been neglected. The unit is pitched for up to 10, but came with only 5 dilapidated dining chairs whose legs buckled under the weight of an adult. When we complained, they promptly replaced them, which saved 1 star. The unit has a hot tub, but the water is very murky - obviously not maintained. The sliding doors and screens are original, and in dire need of an upgrade. The kitchen is poorly equipped, although we bought a few items to leave behind for others. The living room layout is designed for show, not actual usage, as the large TV is mounted above the main sofa, so you can't watch it.
This property has tremendous potential because of its location, but without a serious effort to maintain it, it's not worth the premium price.
