"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. "I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again."

"Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend."

"Lovely property -- a lot of stais to get to rooms, but a very nice location"

"Más bien agradable excepto por la calidad de las camas, que podía mejorarse para evitar el dolor de espalda debido a los colchones con muelles ya muy gastados. "

"The staff were very helpful & we had an excellent cooked breakfast."

"Door was already unlocked when we arrived 28th Oct even though key was in secure unit which seemed a bit strange considering the place is shut on a Wednesday. Main light didn't work only table lamp."

"Lovely hotel room was clean, breakfast was excellent, evening meal was excellent too, great location"

"Situado cerca de zona Industrial de facil acceso . Todo cerca. Habitaciones limpias pero colchones muy incomodos. Del resto todo bien"

"Beautiful character property with cute rooms, really nice staff and delicious breakfast. Location is gorgeous!"

"Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well presented even a lovely note was left from the cleaning staff and a welcoming message before arrival was a nice touch. The only thing I could fault is a broken light in our room and if u compare it with a premier inn the bed is much smaller and there is no bath, however it is definitely more modern."

"Good size room, lovely breakfast with amazing views and friendly helpful staff"

"Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊"

"A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area."
