"We were all looking forward to our short Christmas break and we were not disappointed.. The cottage was easy to find and we had early access. The heating was on and everything looked cosy. "Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy."

"i went with my daughter, had an amazing time! my cousins were at arena uk just 7 mins drive. so had the comfort of being able to relax at the beginning and end of day. Particularly loved the tasteful furnishings and beautiful Sophie Allport crockery and small appliances. "This cottage was an amazing find in the heart of Oakham.a traditional cottage, yet modernised sympathetically, maintaining many of the original features. We loved its quirky layout. We spent a very happy Christmas there. We recommend a visit to the Castle, Gates Garden Centre and Farmshop, Otters. We will be back!"
