If you are looking for a beautiful, hillside view of the ocean and airport, this is the place for you! This studio apartment had everything I needed...towels, snorkeling gear, chairs for the beach, a nicely redone bathroom and a kitchen I was able to cook in. It did just have a portable 2 burner stovetop. But it met any needs I had. The staff/owner was great. Gave me a fresh coconut from their property and did not hesitate to offer any assistance with anything. I would absolutely stay here again. On a side note, the roads are steep and have lots of potholes so make sure you take that into account when getting a vehicle (definitely get a vehicle to get around) and the coqui frogs are quite loud at night. All in all 5 stars!

DO NOT STAY HERE

After struggling to get the owner to respond, they gave us such horrible instructions that it took us over a hour and a half to find the property, listing says theres parking, if you want your car to slide off a cliff sure theres dirt road parking, and thats not even close to the worst part.The apartment REEKED of BLACK MOLD, so much so that our heads and throats started to hurt after just 15 minutes of standing inside, we contacted the owner and it took them hours to respond just to say that there is no problem and said they would send someone to clean.They refused to give us a refund, we did mold tests and they came back positive so we had to book another rental that night, we could not have had a worse time and they refused to give us a refund despite not sleeping a single night at their property and now we are going back and forth with support since visual black mold is apparently just a cosmetic issue…Go anywhere else, if you think you can get a cheap stay here you are wrong.

Beautiful view

My friend and I stayed here for a couple weeks in January (2025). Having a car is highly recommended as it’s high up on the mountain but the view is worth it. Communication with the host was very good and she was very helpful with any thing we needed. I would definitely stay here again. Julia and Tammy from Michigan

Sleeps 2, not 3 - otherwise nice stay

Let me start with why I chose to deduct a star: the listing claims it sleeps 3 people, and in the photos there appears to be a loveseat, which I assumed would pull out. However, the loveseat is just a loveseat (armrest only on 1 side). There is also a full size bed. My 8 year old slept on the loveseat, which was moderately uncomfortable for her, but ultimately manageable enough to keep staying for the duration of our visit. Also, there is a sign with a phone number to call, suggesting that you reach out if you need anything. However, the host didn't respond to any messages through the app or when I texted the number provided on-site. There was a man who was frequently outside who was very kind and helpful when we ultimately went upstairs to ask what we needed.That being said - the place is very clean and well-stocked with dishes and silverware. The Wi-fi was descent, and the AC worked well. The location was a bit out of the way, but for the price, we were happy enough to drive around in our rental car - which you will *definitely* need to do. The place is a tad musty, but I think you would be hard pressed to find a location in the caribbean that isn't. Overall, I would recommend this place and I would personally stay here again.

Great Find!

The sunrises were one of the best parts of this stay! That and the fact it was hidden away. Be aware there is a drive to it, so I highly highly recommend you rent or have a car. Communication was easy, and they also had a nice kitchen and spot to relax and watch TV. The AC also worked well. Lots of hills but one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen!

Hillside apartment with great views

The apartment is tucked away in the hills west of Charlotte Amalie and offers spectacular views as well as a refuge from the huzzle and buzzle of down town. Charlene is a wonderful host; we received directions ahead of our arrival and she responded quickly to any queries during our stay. We changed to the larger apartment which was perfect for us as a family of three. This is an affordable, hidden gem. Go for it!

My opinion

Directions were horrible . Tried to reach the owner by phone with no answer . Went through the other iron gate and greeted by two bulldogs on chains with dog ____ all around and trash all around . Once shown the other gate the space was cleaner and acceptable for the inexpensive price .

Very very cute and quiet place

I loved being surrounded by nature and fruits trees and over looking part of the island. The apartment had everything you could need and I didn't see a stove but I didn't need one. The bathroom floor is so pretty the pics do not do it justice. The drive up the mountain and down the hill to the place is very very steep and you need to make sure you have 4 wheel or all wheel drive and know how to maneuver a one way road the entire time and park on side of hill on road . Host Charlene was pleasant but could be more attentive and responsive. I enjoyed my stay although the hill can be intimidating even for a native like me.

Good for last minute booking, surrounded by a lot of foliage keeping you cool and offering great view to airport and nearby area. The place is basically a glorified living room, ok for short stay for 1/2 people. Not recommend for more then few days, also keep in mind the wifi can be unreliable at times

Perfect view

The property is located in the hillside and can be a bit intimidating the 1st drive up. However, the view from the balcony overlooks the island with lots of fruit trees surrounding you. It's a nice quaint spot away from the crowd and was excellent for relaxing as well as working. The internet connection was up and down at times but the host was very responsive. Great price for the size and location.
