In a word our stay at Escape Villa was wonderful. We had 3-generations of family visiting Curaçao for the first time. The location of the villa and the proximity to Coral Estate restaurants, spa and dive centre was perfect for us. Our daughters re-certified their diving during our stay and were pleased at how close that was to the villa. We took advantage of the private chef with a Mexican feast one night that was great. We rented a large vehicle from a company on the resort who also arranged a it transfers for us. We visited local beaches and Willemstad more than a few times and always an easy drive with lots of parking. Everything at the villa was first class, lots of room, the pool and views were great. Also very quiet in the evenings. Finally, our hosts and property manager were great and a couple of small items were taken care of right away. I also thought this vacation was great value for money and we are hoping for a 4-generation family visit again soon (hint hint).

This home was everything it said it would be. We had an amazing time here. Beautiful views, house was stocked with everything we needed. Property manager wonderful. Walk to the resort beach and restaurant was easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in paradise.

Almost perfect. This is a lovely spacious home in a perfect location. The only reason I didn't give 5* is because I feel that for a 10-night stay there should be an interim cleaning included. At the very least, a towel/linen exchange should be done. The pool and outdoor space was stunning and clean and well kept. The location is perfect distance between the downtown and the secluded beaches. The house is located just above the resort for an easy staircase access to the restaurants and beach. The snorkeling at Coral Estates resort was great!We only used A/C in the bedrooms during sleep so the extra utilities charge was pretty minimal. It was well disclosed so it wasn't unexpected. Communication with the owner and property manager was great.

Nothing can beat this view . . . waking up in the morning and walking down the stairs to the kitchen took our breath away every day. Rooms and bathrooms were nice and large. Pool was amazing. We enjoyed the location as well - far from the bustle of the tourist center but close enough to some great beaches and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Curaçao. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location was perfect for a relaxing vacation.Our host was exceptional—very responsive, friendly, and helpful with local tips that made our trip even better. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere, the well-equipped kitchen, and the overall safety and cleanliness of the area.This property truly felt like a home away from home. We stayed at villa Escape for seven nights with six of our closest friends we had an amazing stay the house was very clean well equipped with just about anything you could need.Being part of a resort was a big plus for us as we could walk down to several restaurants when we didn’t want to cook.The view was amazing my husband and I loved it so much we are now house hunting in Coral Estates. Couple of down sides the driveway is quiet treacherous very narrow and steep will loose pavers.The only other thing I would say is if you want air conditioning be prepared to pay, we only had the air on in the bedrooms at night never even turned the air on anywhere else in the house and ended up being charged 250 at check out for over usage.The location of this house within Coral Estates was perfect very close to the resort amenities, it’s about 30 minutes from Wilamstad which we were fine with you are a hop skip and and jump from all the Westpunt amazing beaches etc overall we had an incredible week and highly recommend this property.

Villa Escape is beautiful and perfect for a vacation with friends and family. The house is gorgeous and the views are the best I’ve ever seen. It’s so convenient having access to the amenities of Coral Estate Resort. We felt safe and it’s very quiet at the house. You have to have a car to travel around the island.The utility bill is not bad, we were not overly stressed about it but we were conscious about consumption. Book a private chef for a meal or 2, it’s well worth it. Communication is great between manager and owners.

Villa Escape is well maintained, very clean and the kitchen is above being stocked. I actually never seen a villa with an emulsifier, but they do. We use that a lot. Furniture is very comfortable as are the beds. Bathrooms are very big, clean and properly maintained. Start up supplies toilet paper etc. are also adequate. Pool is magnificent and again, clean. Your view is phenomenal. Probably one of the best I have had. The resort itself is also clean and the landscaping is gorgeous, restaurant and pizza place on site were delicious. You feel very secure with the guarded gate entrance, and once they get to know you, very nice people. The location for my group was perfect. I enjoy not being in the tourist trap area. The capital isn't that far. That's were most of the action is for restaurants etc. About 45 minutes from villa. Beaches are fantastic, some are rocky, so bring some Tevas or other type of water shoe. Ryan and his wife are the property managers and were very quick on responding, offering assistance and quickly taking care of any issues. Wonderful couple. Easy communication with owner for booking and any prior questions before arriving. Responds quickly. Thanks for a beautiful trip for my family of five. Pam Barber (Atlanta, GA)

The home is as described with amazing views from almost every room. The 5th bedroom on the bottom floor was much smaller and less secure but worked fine for 2 teens. The 4 suites upstairs are spacious with large bathrooms (and boy, the doors in the bedrooms are sturdy and hold the cool air in). Both pools were nice and stayed cool despite the heat. The teens really enjoyed the top balcony with the cozy loungers and tanning pool. We enjoyed the proximity to the Coral Estates Centre, where we often grabbed pastries, dinner, or smoothies. The area felt very safe. Accessing the beach requires walking steep stairs, but they were in good shape and clear of obstacles, so it wasn't an issue. The driveway to the home is steep, so we mostly parked at the top and walked down. We had a small issue with a mini fridge in 1 room, but Ryan promptly took care of it. He also kindly helped us when our airport transportation didn't show up on time. The kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of dinnerware and cooking supplies. Note that the tvs aren't connected to services like cable or satellite, so you have to log into your streaming services. But with those views and the beautiful beaches nearby, we watched very little tv anyway. The bedding could use an upgrade but was ok. The utilities deposit wasn't an issue for us, even though we went in June. We never used the AC downstairs and ran it cool in our bedrooms at night, and we got over half of our deposit back. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great house, needs updating.

We had a lovely stay at the house in Curacao. We liked the fact that we had full use of the resort below the property. The property manager and his wife were very friendly and responsive.The downside is that the property is a bit run down. The pool is missing a ton of tiles, the kitchen cabinets are old, there were a couple of broken ceiling fans, etc. The property manager assured us the house was getting renovated the week after our stay. If that really happened, I would rent this property again.For those wondering about the additional cost of running the air conditioning, here is a breakdown of what we did. Having read other reviews about how expensive it was, we only ran the air conditioning in all 5 bedrooms at night and in the living room one of the days (with all doors shut.) That ended up costing us 144 for our 5 day stay. We thought that was pretty reasonable. In fact, if we had know that was all it would cost, we definitely would have run it more during the day, as it was very hot and humid.

Not as Advertised !!

The home is beautiful to look at. The pictures are very accurate. It sits ontop of a resort that has a few restaurants ( very expensive) and water (not a beach, it is man made). The ocean view is amazing. The house: the pool looks beautiful but the tiles are all coming up and they made tiny shards of glass all over the patio. You could not be bare foot. The windows heat up the house so much it is unbearable to be inside. The living room and kitchen are so hot that you have to leave the shades down and that takes your view away. The bedrooms are the same, they heat up so much that you have to keep the curtains drawn- so the view is lost. You absolutely have to use the AC more than normal because the sun beats on this house. Expect to go over in utilities. We followed all the rules and we still owed 180USD at the end. So for 6 days of staying at this house they claim that the utilizes cost 390USD. we used our AC exactly when they said we could use it to not go over. Impossible !! Everyone goes over !! It’s a money grab !The kitchen: the owner has never stayed one night here. You can tell because things were barely working or very difficult to use. The living room furniture is extremely uncomfortable. We never sat in that room once. Mostly because it was so hot! The outside furniture was also extremely uncomfortable. You couldn’t sit long because the cushion was so thin, you felt like you were sitting on the metal bars.

Great House for Adults

We were in Curaçao for my husband’s birthday trip.There were 4 couples in total. The house is just as described. This was our 6th visit to the island, but the first staying in this area. The noise restrictions (10pm) and paying for electricity were new for us, but did not dampen the festivities. The house itself is great, other than a few broken utensils, no propane for the outside grill and a non working ceiling fan, everything was as expected.

House is everything that shows and more. If you are a diver this is great location you can reach the East and west ind of the island 30-45 min. We were a group of eight and this house accommodates us well. From bedrooms to pools to kitchen all plenary of room and had all the amenities we needed Host and manager communication was excellent. Great week at Escape Villa

Grandparents had to bow out of trip last minute so ended up with just our family of 5 at the villa. This turned out well for us, honestly the 5th bedroom at the villa is outside of the door to the kitchen and not connected to the common area. I wouldn't consider putting my family members in that bedroom so word to the wise. We had an incredible stay and can't say enough about the decor, attention to detail, location, view, etc. I read every single review so want to be honest in mine. We would stay here again for sure. I walked the Coral Bay Estates neighborhood and the location of this villa is superior in that the stairs down to the restaurant/bar/beach area is very convenient (note, no handrailings-elderly family members may just want to drive down). The view is spectacular and being elevated on side of the hill vs right on beach meant better views and we had no issues w/ bugs (except little gnats a couple mornings when there wasn't a breeze). Beds were very comfortable. The couches in the living room could stand to be replaced-not very comfortable and showing wear. We had no problem using the kitchen area either which was nice. We rented a minivan and appreciated the mid-island location for visiting the beaches along coast and Westpunt area but also going to Willamstead for the day. Be prepared to spend $$ for the electricity/water deposit ($400, we ended up being charged $295-only ran AC at night in all 4 bedrooms and in the living room from like 7-10:30).

Absolutely Lovely

I stayed here with four girlfriends for a week long vacation and we absolutely loved this home away from home. The views are beautiful, the pools were so nice, the rooms were comfortable and private, and the home was well appointed. We were able to make breakfast “at home” every morning, and venture out to various beaches or activities during the day, but loved that we didn’t HAVE to. Hanging out at the house in the pool was also one of the best parts out our stay. Only notes: pick up laundry detergent if you stop at a grocery store. It might have been nice to wash/dry kitchen, beach, and bath towels at some point during the week, but no big deal. Oh! And you can ask for a bag of ice at the rooftop bar. Electricity/water use: conservation is mentioned on reviews about many places on the island. We tried to be mindful during our stay by turning all lights/fans off when we left for the day, and we only ran the A/C in our individual rooms at night. I thought cost was totally reasonable for 5 people. If you’re hot, get in one of the two pools! Our only regret: we wish we would have booked more time with chef Mo! We had her cook for us the first night we arrived and it was a FANTASTIC meal. If you’re on the fence about booking the private chef service, absolutely do it! Property manager, Ryan, was very nice and made check in and check out very easy. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Beautiful home and pool with great location

Property was just as advertised. Beautiful and well equipped home with incredible view. Easy assess to resort with spa, two restaurants/bar, and beach. Great central location to get to east and west of the island country. There were 10 adults and we rented a van which allowed us to tour to Willemstad, curaçao distillery, Serena’s art factory (home of the Chichi art), shete boka national park, and more. We are not active scuba or water sports crew, but were happy to hang at the pool. Afternoon heat is strong, but happy hour on other side of house in the shade was awesome. Thanks for a fun 60th birthday celebration.

Wonderful House and Location

The House: It is just as beautiful as it looks online. Expansive views of the ocean from the 4 upstairs bedrooms and both pool decks. The main pool was big and enjoyed by everyone. The plunge pool was also nice, but we used the main pool more. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the nespresso machine and milk frother. The location: The location was perfect for us. Our group has a mix of snorkelers and scuba divers, and there are many beaches within a short drive that have both snorkeling and scuba diving right from the shore. Willemstad and Kokomo Beach are further, but still a quick drive. With the house being in Coral Estate Resort, it was easy for us to find dinner there the first night after a long day of travel, and we got pastries and bread most mornings. We also used the dive shop to do a night snorkel adventure - highly recommend. I feel like I must say something about the electricity and water: As a group, this was our 6th trip together in the Carribean. We travel to a different island each April - though we are considering breaking that tradition and returning to Curacao. We know electricity and water on islands are expensive, and we must do our best to preserve the resources. This was not the first time we had to pay for our electricity and water usage either. Our party of 9 did not go over the deposit amount.
