If you want an amazing view, the most comfortable bed, with Trunk Bay and other beaches right down the road, book this place. We came home rested and loved our time on St John. There is easy parking, beach chairs, coolers, etc. for use. We spent so much time on the balcony! My husband has mobility issues, and there are many stairs to navigate, but he did fine. Bring nightshades if you like to sleep in, or embrace the beautiful sunrise and be the first on the beach. You can eat at lunch at the beach restaurants and come back for an afternoon nap! A great place to call home!

Property was excellent for a couple, exactly as described. Host was welcoming and everything was clean and in order. Location is great - a very short walk to Trunk Bay. We have stayed on St John many times and this property is perfect for two people.

Everything we hoped for!

This suite was perfect for our visit to St John. The view is lovely, the location perfect for getting to nearby North Shore beaches, and the furnishings and linens are very comfortable, especially the gorgeous bedroom tucked into a stone tower next to the main structure. The small kitchen was well equipped and the grill wasn’t operate for grilled fish. The manager Tommy was friendly and informative about island happenings. We plan to return for another visit in the future.

Ideal location

The view. Great location. Excellent communication. A smidge pricey and there are some things in the unit that could be updated. Bed being too soft was our most significant issue.Unrelated to the property: Roads on St. John require continual attention. Most were fine for our Nissan Kicks—and you are better off in a smaller car if you are only 2 people. I should have stayed off Highway 206. For that, a jeep would have been better. Also skip going to Fort Frederick Ruins.

Relaxing and Romantic … Paradise!!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in St John! The Peter Bay Gatehouse was more than we imagined. Spectacular views, wonderful accommodations and the beach was perfect! Our host, Tommy, was the absolute best!! He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!! Very responsive and ensured everything was working before he left. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!!!

Amazing place

This is a beautiful property that exceeded our expectations, the views are incredible. Had all the necessary amenities, was clean, and beautiful artwork, architecture, and furniture. Tommy was attentive and very helpful for anything at all you need from check in, general questions, and check out. Very convenient 1-2 min drive to both cinnamon and trunk. Grounds and architecture were sooo cool. Highly recommend, I will definitely stay here when we return to St. John.

We loved the view and the location of this spectacular rental. The only drawback was the mosquitos getting in and biting us. It would be wonderful if you could screen the doors out to the patio to keep them out or install HVAC in the main area!

Amazing View!!!!!!

This place has an amazing location and view. The only problem was the roof leaked when it rained and there was no way to keep mosquitos out so we woke up everyday with new bites. They also did not provide shampoo, conditioner or lotion, which has been standard at all other VRBO’s we’ve rented so that was a surprise to us so we had to purchase our own after arrival.

Would advise reading the listing and *just the bedroom* is air conditioned. Great location and view, but hot and sweaty stay. If we were high maintenance, we would have left after night 1. Made the most of it but wouldn’t stay here again. Felt a little duped with the listing.

Wonderful experience

The location was terrific and close to all the best beaches. The host and staff were very responsive and accommodating , although the kitchen was small it was well appointed and the view from the rooms was amazing!

Fantastic, breath taking location

The property was fantastic. The scenery was breathtaking. My family and I loved it. The property was exactly as described. We encountered no problems. The property manager, Tommy, was great and very helpful. The car rental lost our reservation for a jeep. Tommy was a tremendous help in assisting us in renting a jeep at the last minute. We definitely will stay there again.

Great Get Away

This property was a great get away. We enjoyed having a private beach to ourselves within walking distance of the house. There was only one day where we encountered other people on the beach and the property is conveniently located close to town for groceries or grabbing dinner. It's also less than 5 minutes to other public beaches with activities. The property is very comfortable for two and is well appointed. Thomas, the property manager, was very communicative and helpful. I'd love to come back.

The perfect place

We stayed 4 nights at the Peter Bay Gate house. What a great comfortable property with stunning views from every window! Centrally located and yet felt secluded, therefore a great combination. Tommy welcomed us and was super attentive, and helpful. Really went the extra mile to give us a seamless and great experience. It was hard to leave when our vacation was over! <3

Lovely property and location

Views and location were top notch. Accomodations we're very good. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Common areas (patio, living room, kitchen) were a bit small. Ok for two but would be crowded with any more. VRBO listing included a hot tub which is no longer there. The kitchen was ok, toaster and coffee pot had some issues. As people who like to cook when traveling, we made it work.
