Very nice villa. Perfect location close enough to town but feels removed and quiet. Just the frogs chirping at night. Main room gets warm but the fans and the beautiful pool helped keep us cool. Slept well in the AC. Views are incredible. Loved our stay.

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay in Saint John. House was just as described with a great view. The location was perfect - close to center of town but in a nice, quiet bay area. The pool was a great addition and communication/response time from host was excellent. We would definitely come back to this VRBO!

Perfect House for a Getaway

This house was perfect for our family getaway on St. John. It had all the amenities you could possibly need. The kitchen was a great size and the outdoor living spaces were exceptional. It’s such a quick drive to Cruz Bay and the road is quiet and easy to park which can be hard to find on the island.

Relaxing trip!

Incredible home and location!

We were so happy with our stay. We come to ST. John every year but this was the first time just with our daughter. The views, the location to town, and the layout was perfect for our family. The open air concept was refreshing, especially when it rained. And we slept so well with the air conditioned bedrooms. We cooked at home for most meals, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Thank you Sheree and family for sharing your beautiful home, we can’t wait to come stay again!

40th Birthday Girls Trip

Excellent stay at this Villa! It was better than described and the views were stunning! We had everything we needed for a night in at the villa or to adventure to the beaches. The host went above and beyond upon arrival. Our flight was delayed getting in and it was raining and dark for our arrival and she kept in contact with us and made sure that we knew exactly where we were going. She even provided some snacks and a welcome package for us knowing that we did not have time for grocery run that first evening due to our delay. It was much appreciated after a long day of travel and a stressful drive from the ferry due to the dark and rain and getting familiar with driving on the left. :) All of her suggestions for dining were wonderful! We love visiting St John and look forward to staying in this Villa again in the future. It is perfect for two couples or a girls trip like ours. Also the beds were so comfortable! We are all still talking about how well we rested in them! Beautiful property, excellent stay, and would highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Amazing Views!

We were quite pleased and impressed with Chez Shell. The pictures and descriptions were exactly as described. The location was perfect and the views were absolutely amazing. Communicating with the owners was also easy, especially with the hurricane that was approaching soon before our arrival date. We would stay at this VRBO again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!!!

Beaches and AC oh my

The property is conveniently located near the car ferry and Cruz Bay. You definitely need a Jeep. The steep incline from the parking lot was a little precarious at night. Power outages at night were brutal, with still hot air. Do yourself a favor and read up on updates. We didn't think they would be overnight, but they were to no fault of anyone. We hope for the future of the island that it gets remedied quickly. House has all you need, but AC a must during June

Perfect location, amazing views

Villa Chex Shell is the perfect spot for two couples. It's located a short drive from downtown on a secluded road overlooking Great Cruz Bay and the Westin. Perfect size for two couples, private pool with oversized patio and views forever. This is out second stay and the villa and won't be our last. Sheree is a great host and provides beach towels, chairs and a cooler for your day trips. Highly recommend!

Wonderful week!

Beautiful home with the most incredible views. The house was well appointed with everything you need - including beach chairs and a cooler. Close to great restaurants in town while still being in a quiet neighborhood. Construction next door was a non-issue given all the greenery surrounding the house. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Great Spot

House was very nice, and a great location. When we booked we noticed someone complained that owners lived onsite. I was a little concerned with this just because we like privacy. But I can confirm this is a complete non-issue. Their unit is below the main house. I’m pretty sure there is an entrance on the other side of the house they use that you almost can’t even tell is there. The pool and outdoor space is completely private, they can’t even see it from their unit since it’s below. They aren’t using the pool or anything while you are there. I only took off one star on the communication rating not because they didn’t communicate well but unless I missed something, email was the only way to communicate when on the island. My email didn’t load well so having a cell to text if there was something urgent would have been nice. But it wasn’t actually necessary. So not really a complaint just a suggestion! And I do understand if they don’t want to share their cell. I would recommend the house and go back for sure. There is a house being built next door. Someone mentioned that. While we did hear it a little. It was never really early or late. So unless you are just sitting at the house all day I can’t see it being a big deal. Who wants to sit at a house all day anyways when you are in St John?!

Gorgeous view

Chez Shell is exactly as represented from the pictures and description on VRBO. Two master bedrooms made it nice for two couples. The view from the great room and outsides spaces is spectacular! An afternoon at the pool is beautiful if you don’t feel like driving to one of the incredible beaches. Downtown Cruz Bay is a short ride away for drinks or dinner out. The only negative was the home being built right next door. It was loud some days and construction vehicles made parking a challenge.
