Great location, nice place staff is excellent.

Not a resort but the amenities and location made it feel like one. Great snorkling onsite, 2 minute walk to town. Pool and hot tub very nice. Recommend.

Fantastic Property

We stayed a full month at the Gallows in 8C. This is a perfect location; killer views, peaceful atmosphere and close enough to downtown to walk to all the restaurants and shopping (including the small hidden casino). I travel quite a bit and have to say the property and experience was one of my best. The property manager Richard is very responsive and knows the island well. The concierge Missy was wonderful in setting us up for both a fishing day as well as a sunset cruise. And CJ who seems to manage the on-property store was excellent and very pleasant helping with provisions. Lastly I cannot leave our the maid service. These women are wonderful; very friendly made us feel at home. All-in-all you cannot do better in St. John.

The property is very much in the St John culture and I like that. It was peaceful and relaxing. The buildings are showing their age a bit and I think for what you pay, it could be tended to—chipped paint, mold, tile damage but that’s being nit-picky. We would def stay again.

Perfect for sunset- villa was lacking

Hi all, I’m fortunate to travel frequently for both work and pleasure with my family. Each year we pick a new location to celebrate Thanksgiving together. This year was St John. We absolutely LOVE this island and find the locals to be welcoming and pleasant. Unfortunately the first part of our vacation was spent at Gallows Point unit 8C that I booked via VRBO. First the pros- the location is excellent to town and viewing the sunset from your own terrace was perfection. The restaurant Ocean 362 ( had Thanksgiving dinner) was delicious! Service top notch! The cons- the villa was dated abd DIRTY!!! When I reached out to the owner, his reaction was insulting saying “ it’s our top rental and have had little complaints “. My opinion is - one complaint of unsatisfactory conditions should be addressed. I even told him that I would share pictures showing dirt, dust, uncleaned toilets, hair, rust etc. you would think during Covid protocol would increase the level of sanitation. We couldn’t wait to leave!! My kids even commented that it was the worst place we have stayed in 18 years!!! I’ll gladly share pics if interested.

Simply the BEST!

The view, the location, the staff, etc were all exceptional. I hope to be back! Absolutely loved our stay in St John. This place what is the icing on the top. We would sit outside in the AM and just before bed to soak up the view of the ocean, property, The iguanas eating the flowers as they creep out of the bushes, the Beauty and the sound of the waves. I could go on and on. Thank you!

Fabulous spot in St. John

The suite was lovely, and the location could not have been any better! We loved having access to the bay and the pool, as well as being so close to the shops and restaurants of Cruz Bay. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful

My wife an I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Gallows Point #8C. It is a beautiful loft right on the water with superb views from every point in the unit. Kitchen was modern and fully equipped. Balcony is perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Communication with the owner/manager, Richard, was easy and seamless through the VRBO app. We also stayed at the Westin during our St John visit. It was nice but on a return trip I would choose Gallows Point #8C without hesitation!

Spectacular View !!!!!

Our place was just as we imagined it... only better! The room had the dreamiest view and our accommodations were top notch! Provisions arrived the day we got there . All we had to do was enjoy. Convenient to shops & restaurants. Steps away from the beach. The hammock at sunset was one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend a stay at Gallows. Say hi to the peacocks for us! We can’t wait to come back!
