We had an absolutely lovely stay at Harbor Master! Jane is so nice and the property is very well stocked. Close driving distance to beaches, walking distance to some restaurants if you don't mind walking 250ft of ascension on the way back (definitely not too bad if you're a hiker). Gorgeous views, make sure you watch the sunrise!

We had the best time at Harbor Master! We love Coral Bay and the proximity to amazing beaches. Coming home to the pool and a beautiful home made the stay so magical. Our son was in the pool every chance he got. Thank you for a great stay!

Harbor Master is an excellently maintained home with a wonderful view of Coral Bay and the surrounding area. The hosts are great to work with and are continually updating the amenities of the house. This is our 3rd year staying there and we plan to be back again when we visit St John again.

Harbor Master has all the right things: great house; great view; great location. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the life of Coral Bay go on below us. It is a magical place. Our host, Jane, was totally responsive to all our needs.

Harbor Master is gorgeous and offered our family of 4 a comfortable home away from home with great island vibes! The views of Coral Bay are spectacular and we enjoyed our mornings out on the spacious balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor bathroom was a fantastic island touch! Our boys swam in the beautiful pool every evening after we grilled dinner on the patio. The location is spectacular with Dolphin Market and a number of bars/restaurants close by and they really thought of everything we could have needed for our stay. Jane was wonderful and was always quick to respond to messages as we planned our stay, and drove out to meet us for our first night to lead us up to the property so we knew exactly how to get there even though we were hours later than we planned due to some issues with our flight. She made us feel immediately welcome! We can’t wait to come back and will definitely book here again!

Our family stayed here for a week in December (over Christmas) & had the most amazing time! Jane was welcoming & accommodating (even adding some Christmas lights inside for us!) & you can tell that she takes great pride & has much love for their property & St John. I did a lot of research on rental homes here & landed on this one due to the stellar reviews & beautiful photos. Now that we have experienced this home first-hand, I can tell you that this is a wonderful place to stay! We preferred this quieter side of the island, & the views of Coral Bay are breathtaking! It truly felt like heaven on earth. As the other reviews have noted, the road & driveway to the house are a bit tricky, but that is pretty much the standard throughout the island (and it’s why everyone drives a Jeep there, which is a necessity). Also, being higher up on the mountain provides better views & more comfortable temps with the breeze. Jane provided lots of great recommendations for places to eat, beaches to visit and hikes to do…every day felt like a fun adventure! What you see is what you get with the listing photos, but better! We also cooked quite a bit during our stay & the kitchen had everything we needed. The views from every room were stunning & it also felt very private. The open-air bathroom (which took just a little bit for this city girl to get used to) was pretty cool, & everything was very clean & comfortable. There are lots of little touches/provided amenities throughout! 10/10 recommend!
Saw many rainbows from the deck after a few (very short) showers!
Watched the beautiful sunrises every morning!
This view from the (shaded) deck never got old! We started every day out here!

What a spectacular home away from home! The house is pristine and the views are stunning! Jane has everything you could want at the house to make it very comfortable and she communicates precise instructions if you are newbies to St. John like we were. We loved that there were some nice choices for restaurants right down the hill and beaches were a pretty quick drive away, considering you get to be on the quieter side of the island. Lovely house and family...we can't wait to visit again.

Great property. Super clean, amazing view, great breeze and AC to sleep in. Private pool and stocked with everything you need (we cooked several meals). We were here as Hurricane Erin passed off the coast and the owner was great to check in on us, make sure the drive way was draining, etc.

Literal Paradise!

We have stayed on St. John 6 times prior and this was by far the best place we have stayed! Location was great! 3 restaurants literally at the bottom of the hill (Sharkys, Surf Club, and Johnny Lime, along with Skinny Legs down the road) and the Dolphin Market grocery store. Maho is about a 9 minute drive from the house! The house itself is gorgeous! The views are stunning! The landscaping around the property is lush! The pool and patio areas are nice! The house and grounds were very clean! I’m very picky about cleanliness and it met my high standards! The owners have thought of and provided so many things to make your stay go well including things like snorkel gear, various sizes of ice chests, ice packs, beach chairs, pool floats, binoculars, first aide kit, an abundance of seasonings, restaurant list with times/days they are open, and a working ice maker in the fridge just to name a few! The kitchen has everything you need and more! The WiFi connection worked well! We will definitely be staying at Harbor Master the next time we return! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us! Tip: Stock up with groceries at the Starfish Market in Cruz Bay and use the Dolphin Market in Coral Bay to replace items as needed. The prices and choices at Starfish were much better than the Dolphin Market!

What an amazing vacation! Typically at the end of a week away I’m ready to go home, but not this time. A week was far too short. Harbor Master was everything we hoped it would be and more. We felt at home the moment we walked in. Our week was spent drinking coffee/tea on the deck while watching the sunrise, then getting ready for the day and hitting the beach by 8. We then snorkeled/explored the beach until mid day then went out to lunch, finally ending back at the house to swim in the pool/play games/read/relax. We made dinner at the house in the very well equipped kitchen every night. There wasn’t a single thing we needed that wasn’t there. The roads are not for the faint of heart. They are twisty with lots of steep sections but totally manageable with a Jeep.The winds off the ocean are perfection and we never felt hot in the house even though the only AC units are in the bedrooms. All the beaches we went to (Maho, Hawkenest, Salt Pond Bay, Cinnamon, Waterlemon) were within 20 min drive from the house. There are also delicious restaurants near the house like Johnny Lime, Skinny Legs, Surf Club Cantina, and our favorite….Columbos for smoothies and Açaí bowls. Jane helped us navigate to the house on the first day and showed us around. She was available by text for all our questions during the week and always responded promptly. We were so happy with the whole vacation and can’t wait to go back. 10/10 would recommend.

Harbor Master was a wonderful home away from home! It’s not hard to get to, a few great markets right in the area for easy grocery runs, and THAT VIEW!! Still not over it.. I love Coral Bay. It’s a quiet little area away from all the Cruz Bay buzz but a quick, easy 15 min drive.

Amazing stay, so sad to leave

We had the best time at Harbor View! My husband, baby and I came to celebrate my son’s first birthday, and Mother’s Day. This house was even better than we could have dreamed of. The views were stunning, and the pool was perfect. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch daily with amazing sunrises, came home and relaxed by the pool after visiting beaches, and enjoyed wine on the porch while watching the sunset. Jane was an incredible host. She made us feel right at home, and made sure to think to include things like a pack and play and baby kitchen-ware to make our travels easier. This home was the perfect location on the Coral Bay side of town, with a few restaraunts very close by- Sharkys and Johnny Lime are right at the bottom of the hill, and Skinny Legs is very close as well! It was also very easy to get to all of the beautiful beaches from the house. We’ve truly never been so sad to leave a vacation home, and can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Wonderful getaway!

This was our second visit to Harbor Master and we had a great time once again. The view is fantastic! Loved relaxing on the porch and pool area. The location in Coral Bay is perfect as we enjoy the quieter side of the island. We really appreciate the thoughtful use of extra items such as beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. The host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

Harbor Master was absolutely perfect for our family of 3. It was so cozy. The breeze that comes in with the beautiful sliders open felt amazing after a long day at the beach. They thought of everything with this Villa. The pictures don’t do justice. Hands down will book with Harbor Master again.
