Literal Paradise!

We have stayed on St. John 6 times prior and this was by far the best place we have stayed! Location was great! 3 restaurants literally at the bottom of the hill (Sharkys, Surf Club, and Johnny Lime, along with Skinny Legs down the road) and the Dolphin Market grocery store. Maho is about a 9 minute drive from the house! The house itself is gorgeous! The views are stunning! The landscaping around the property is lush! The pool and patio areas are nice! The house and grounds were very clean! I’m very picky about cleanliness and it met my high standards! The owners have thought of and provided so many things to make your stay go well including things like snorkel gear, various sizes of ice chests, ice packs, beach chairs, pool floats, binoculars, first aide kit, an abundance of seasonings, restaurant list with times/days they are open, and a working ice maker in the fridge just to name a few! The kitchen has everything you need and more! The WiFi connection worked well! We will definitely be staying at Harbor Master the next time we return! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us! Tip: Stock up with groceries at the Starfish Market in Cruz Bay and use the Dolphin Market in Coral Bay to replace items as needed. The prices and choices at Starfish were much better than the Dolphin Market!

What an amazing vacation! Typically at the end of a week away I’m ready to go home, but not this time. A week was far too short. Harbor Master was everything we hoped it would be and more. We felt at home the moment we walked in. Our week was spent drinking coffee/tea on the deck while watching the sunrise, then getting ready for the day and hitting the beach by 8. We then snorkeled/explored the beach until mid day then went out to lunch, finally ending back at the house to swim in the pool/play games/read/relax. We made dinner at the house in the very well equipped kitchen every night. There wasn’t a single thing we needed that wasn’t there. The roads are not for the faint of heart. They are twisty with lots of steep sections but totally manageable with a Jeep.The winds off the ocean are perfection and we never felt hot in the house even though the only AC units are in the bedrooms. All the beaches we went to (Maho, Hawkenest, Salt Pond Bay, Cinnamon, Waterlemon) were within 20 min drive from the house. There are also delicious restaurants near the house like Johnny Lime, Skinny Legs, Surf Club Cantina, and our favorite….Columbos for smoothies and Açaí bowls. Jane helped us navigate to the house on the first day and showed us around. She was available by text for all our questions during the week and always responded promptly. We were so happy with the whole vacation and can’t wait to go back. 10/10 would recommend.

Harbor Master was a wonderful home away from home! It’s not hard to get to, a few great markets right in the area for easy grocery runs, and THAT VIEW!! Still not over it.. I love Coral Bay. It’s a quiet little area away from all the Cruz Bay buzz but a quick, easy 15 min drive.

The real happiest place on earth

Amazing stay, so sad to leave

We had the best time at Harbor View! My husband, baby and I came to celebrate my son’s first birthday, and Mother’s Day. This house was even better than we could have dreamed of. The views were stunning, and the pool was perfect. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch daily with amazing sunrises, came home and relaxed by the pool after visiting beaches, and enjoyed wine on the porch while watching the sunset. Jane was an incredible host. She made us feel right at home, and made sure to think to include things like a pack and play and baby kitchen-ware to make our travels easier. This home was the perfect location on the Coral Bay side of town, with a few restaraunts very close by- Sharkys and Johnny Lime are right at the bottom of the hill, and Skinny Legs is very close as well! It was also very easy to get to all of the beautiful beaches from the house. We’ve truly never been so sad to leave a vacation home, and can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Wonderful getaway!

This was our second visit to Harbor Master and we had a great time once again. The view is fantastic! Loved relaxing on the porch and pool area. The location in Coral Bay is perfect as we enjoy the quieter side of the island. We really appreciate the thoughtful use of extra items such as beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. The host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

Perfect

Harbor Master was absolutely perfect for our family of 3. It was so cozy. The breeze that comes in with the beautiful sliders open felt amazing after a long day at the beach. They thought of everything with this Villa. The pictures don’t do justice. Hands down will book with Harbor Master again.

Perfect Vacation

The view is second to none and the property was absolutely perfect for a family of four with two young kids. Jane and Brian were very communicative leading up to the trip and made the arrival very easy and welcoming. Coral Bay is incredibly relaxing and Harbor Master was the perfect location to enjoy it. We will be coming back to Harbor Master on our next trip to St. John.

Great Stay at Harbor Master

Family and I stayed for 5 nights at Harbor Master and would definitely return. Very convenient to "downtown" Coral Bay and seemed to be a very central location for exploring the island. Jane was a fantastic host as well, who gave us an introduction to the property and was available by text/phone if needed. 5 Stars

Amazing Place

This place is just beautiful! I have stayed at a number of vacation rentals, and the actual house has never looked or been as clean as it looks in the pictures. In this instance, the pictures didn’t actually do the house justice. We were very comfortable during our stay. The house had everything that we needed. The pool was great, and we used it very often. Jane was amazing. She was extremely flexible with us when our travel plans changed due to canceled flights. She also accommodated our late arrival on the day that we actually did arrive. We did rent out the apartment, and it was very nice. If you were staying with a number of family members, I highly recommend adding on the apartment. We will definitely be staying at this house again!

Honeymoon in heaven!

My husband and I stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon and I'm so glad we did!! Jane was amazing- great communication, kind, extremely helpful with navigation and showing us the way to the property, and gave great recommendations for restaurants & beaches. This was our first visit to St. John and she helped make it relaxing and stress-free. The views from the deck were breathtaking, we really enjoyed taking in the views every morning and night swims in the pool! The outdoor bathroom was quite unique as well. We really appreciated all the gear & supplies that were provided as well, we used the snorkel gear every day and got to see our first sea turtle! Harbor Master is one of a kind and we cannot wait to return in the future!

Perfect in every way!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Harbor Master! Jane and Brian were amazing hosts, graciously helping us reschedule our stay after flight cancellations and making us feel at home once we arrived. The house itself was perfect for our family of 4. As beautiful as the view is in the photos, it’s even better in person. The kids loved cooling off in the pool after a long day at the beach, and we loved having all the kitchen supplies we needed to prepare food. We also loved flipping through the photo books and learning about how the property was built. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and I can’t recommend Harbor Master enough. Thank you Jane and Brian!

Perfect place to stay in Coral Bay

Convenient location in Coral Bay for trips to beaches on the east side of the island. Harbor Master is clean, comfortable and quiet. Surrounded by beautiful foliage, it feels secluded yet it’s situated only minutes away from markets and great places to eat. Jane is a great host who has thought of just about everything.

Excellent property

My wife and I had a great time during our stay. Easy to access location with an easy drive to all the beaches with markets and good restaurants just down the hill. The view of Coral Bay is perfect! We never had to use 4wd to get up the drive. Part of it is paved and part is gravel. Once to the steepest part near the house it is concrete with a nice security gate. The house is furnished nicely with all the necessities and everything was very clean. It is evident the owners have put pride into this property with all the small touches. Jane was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. The a/c in the bedroom at night and cool pool water was extremely welcoming as it was very hot and humid while we were visiting. We just got used to sweating when not in water but that’s part of the tropical vibe. Since nothing is “perfect” the only small complaint I would have (and nothing to do with the property) is the smelly trash dumpsters on the main road by the bay we had to drive by every day to get to and from the house. Since there is no local trash pickup all trash gets thrown in dumpsters on the road by residents and guests. Unfortunately, out of all the dumpsters we passed on the island the ones in coral bay are very foul. However, this CAN NOT be seen or smelled at the house as it is a half a mile or so away. It just wasn’t fun to drive by. Haha If we come back I’d definitely see if this property was available as it was a great experience!

5/8/24 5/18/24 Harbor Master was perfect in every way. We loved every second of our stay. Jane was a wonderful host. She went above and beyond to make our trip the best ever. You can tell there was a lot of family love when they built Harbor Master. We have traveled to many places, but never have we spent 10 days without one second of stress. Harbor Master has everything you need. We saw every sunrise and every sunset. We loved getting in the pool after the day at the beach. The landscaping around the home is beautiful. It was fun to see all the treasures throughout the property. Everyday we would discover something new. We ate out a lot, but did cook a great meal on the grill. We bought fresh fish from Calabash Mkt. The man was so nice and he seasoned the fish for us and told exactly how to cook it. It was amazing. We ate at Skinny Legs more than we should have. Had a good meal at Jonny Lime in Coral Bay. Went to Cruz Bay and had nice meals at Longboard, La Tapas and Dave and Jerry’s. Went to Ms. Lucy’s twice for open mic and had a blast. Loved all the beach’s. Our favorite was Cinnamon. They have a nice breakfast at the Rain tree cafe at Cinnamon. We are already planning our trip to Harbor Master in 2025.

We loved staying at Harbor Master

My wife and I stayed a week at Harbor Master for a week on our first visit to the wonderful island of St. John. Harbor Master was absolutely everything we had hoped it would be. The spacious brick deck and pool area features incredible long views of Coral Bay and the eastern end of St. John with the British Virgin Islands off in the distance The property is meticulously maintained inside and out by its local owners, Jane and Brian. They both genuinely care about their guests and made sure we safely and efficiently made our way to the villa upon our arrival in Cruz Bay. They take great pride in this property that they built themselves and it really shows. Everything about it was perfect.

Wonderful family vacation

Great house in Coral Bay that is clean, comfortable, and has everything we needed for our family of four. The pool was great to have for the kids and you can’t beat the view. Loved the morning wake up calls from the roosters. It was nice to have the A/C in the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. We were sad to leave but hope to be back soon.
