Gorgeous Sunsets

My family and I stayed 2 weeks over the Holiday. Excellent location just 5 minute drive to Cruz Bay (downtown and ferry). Definitely recommend renting jeep through the property management company. The pool was a relaxing place to unwind and recharge while the more adventurous explored every beach and reef of the island. Highly recommended from a regular Caribbean traveler.

Quiet Retreat

Just on the edge of town, off the main road, so little to no traffic. Beautiful view of Great Cruz Bay and Westin resort. All bedrooms have individual AC units, full bathrooms, large beds and very spacious! Large kitchen/living/dining room. The host has provided nearly everything you would need to prepare and serve meals. Beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler are all provided, making your stay all the more enjoyable. The pool is perfect for evening dips and just congregating with your group. The steps to the main level are steep. But, there are 2 parking areas, up top and on the lower level. Plenty of parking for 2 or 3 vehicles. This was our first ever vacation away from home. And La Colinna provided all of the comforts of home! Also, Kay is AMAZING! She was available to answer questions during our stay. Even checked in on us to see if we were enjoying ourselves!

Wonderful Stay in St. John

My family enjoyed our stay at La Collina for a week in July. The property is located above the Westin Resort and has great views of the ocean. The home has 2 master suites on the main floor and the pool is adjacent to the home. On the below level, there are 2 separate guest suites each with their own bathroom. The air conditioning worked well in all of the rooms. The large room in between the 2 master suites is not air conditioned but there are plenty of fans to make it more comfortable. You can't beat the location to the downtown area and the beaches.

Amazing location, Exceptional Property

La Collina was everything it was advertised to be and more. The house was gorgeous, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The rooms all have an AC unit in them, but the common spaces upstairs do not. My *only* complaint about this stunner of a property, is that I wished there was one more AC unit in these common spaces upstairs. We had fans, which certainly helped, but it did get a little warm when we were preparing meals. The ferry, the grocery store, and the downtown area are just a 3-5 minute drive away, and we highly recommend renting jeeps through the folks who manage La Collina as well. They made the pickup/drop off process very easy, and you need a Jeep or other 4WD vehicle to explore the island. I genuinely can’t wait to go back. This is the only place I’ll stay on St John.

The property is absolutely beautiful! The location is good, the house is clean with a well supplied kitchen. The pool is perfectly located that you can swim or lounge around and enjoy the gorgeous view of the bay. I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing views!

The photos of the house and views from it were spot on! The views of Cruz Bay and the ships were amazing! We lived the outdoor deck and spent our evenings and dinners out there. The bedrooms were big and spacious and the living area was plenty of room for our family of 6. We would definitively rent the house again when we return to St John! A great adventure!

Enjoyable home in St John

The home is a comfortable home for family and friends, with a very nice view. Home is clean and is well stocked . The pool is small which is fine when you are on a island with so many great beaches . Would stay here again .

Perfect mix of natural beauty, comfort, views, and convenience!

Property was beautiful and natural with amazing views of Cruz Bay from the home and the pool. Pool was perfect. Gorgeous flowers all around the home. We used the grill to make everything to avoid using the oven and keep the house cool inside. Home is conveniently located near all the activities/restaurants in Cruz Bay and the Dolphin market for groceries.

Summer Family Getaway

My family and I had an amazing week at La Collina! The place is much larger and nicer than the photos suggest, particularly the massive second story deck overlooking Great Cruz Bay! We enjoyed both quiet moments on the deck and in the pool, as well as fun-filled evenings when extended family staying at the Westin property below drove the two minutes up the hill to share a home-cooked meal and an evening together! Being from South Carolina, we are accustomed to central A/C in our homes. The four bedroom A/C units were fantastic, but we wanted more air movement in the main living space which is not air conditioned. Diane and her team immediately responded to our request and provided us with two extra stand-up fan units (and a bottle of No Natz insect repellent spray for the NoSeeUms - highly recommended!) to help make our stay much more comfortable! We cooked several meals in the kitchen and on the grill, enjoying both inside and outside dining. While the morning views from the pool and the deck are special, including catching a full rainbow one morning, the sunset views are sensational!! Our son, daughter and son-in-law had a great time traversing the island in search of the perfect hike and the perfect beach. The challenging hike to Rams Head was fun (and very doable for a wide range of family members) and had incredible views! However, the family favorite “don’t miss it” beach spot was Cinnamon Bay beach on the North Shore! Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and amazingly deserted beaches we’ve ever seen! We were very fortunate to secure this family get-away week at the last minute, as the island was shutting down for a second time just as we were leaving. The attentiveness of Diane and her team made our stay very welcoming, and we appreciate all the TLC provided! St. John and La Collina are definitely on our list of return locations!

Loved every minute

We planned this with shorter notice due to Covid and could not have been happier with the outcome. The house is definitely more updated and even nicer than pictures show. We could not have been more pleased with the perfect location close to town and amazing views just overlooking the Westin resort. I would recommend getting the rental agency to show you around when checking in only because there are a few quirks we have learned over time. Make sure the laundry room is fully latched and locked before bedtime so the doors don’t bang all night. The TVs are also a little complicated but a few days of trial and error and they are wOrking great(only for the kids to see sports because with this view TVs aren’t necessary). The porches are perfection. We barely spent any time in the den. The main room and kitchen don’t have A/C but with the front and back porches we didn’t really care. The 2 queen bedrooms are accessible through outside steps. Also fine for us since our kids are old enough. The pool is small but we used it daily. It’s great for an evening soak or a rousing game of Marco Polo. We feel so lucky to have picked this house and hope to come back soon.

This house is actually way better than what it looks like on line. The only downside was the mosquitos. We didnt the first night and were eaten alive. After that though we prepared and were fine. Bedrooms were very comfortable, the views big and location was great. Thank you for offering this house on VRBO. We will be back the Mannings
