Pretty good value as far as the island is concerned. Beautiful location with an incredible view from the deck and nice grill. Great stock of kitchen items and various things like spices, and condiments from previous guests. This is a split level with the loft and kitchen (with futon) together on the upper level and a lower level with the queen bed which is non accessible aside from going outside and down a flight of stairs. Almost everything you need for a stay, snorkel gear, kitchen items etc but beware for longer stays they don’t seem to leave a sufficient stock of toilet paper or paper towels, so you’ll need to get that from town in amounts likely far more than needed. Lot smaller than we expected, sleeping six is definitely a stretch for this place but for the four we had it was sufficient. While it might be standard practice, advertising a place sleeps six and charging almost $200 in extra guest fees for four people is very frustrating. The stairs were a LOT steeper than expected and when it rains, as it often does, they get super slippery and we fell multiple times, once very badly. The door downstairs doesn’t seal well and between that and the other gaps, lots of bugs came in during our stay. Not a major issue, but bothersome and seemingly not a crazy hard fix. Also full of fleas or bed bugs which made things pretty uncomfortable as well. Overall, for the adventurous on a budget, it’s a great place to stay, but if neither of these apply to you, proceed with caution.
