Thanksgiving 2024

Our family had an amazing time! Everything we needed was right at our fingertips to make a Thanksgiving feast for 6. The views, the amenities and the host’s hospitality was top notch. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great views and easy access

My family stayed at this location for a week. The setup is great and the views are wonderful. Loved having the fire pit to cook smores. The beach access is close, but due to the higher speeds of vehicles and no sidewalk, we chose to drive a minute down the road to public parking.

Best of both worlds!!

The location is perfect for a leisure beach day or for going into the historic district to spend the day. We did both and couldn’t have been in a better location! We enjoyed beach views each morning and quiet, cozy evenings inside or in the lovely sunroom. The home was the most stocked we have stayed in with cookware, beach chairs and gear, and indoor and outdoor games, etc.

Lovely beach home

We enjoyed our stay in Vilano. We come 2-3 times a year and this was definitely one of the better rentals that we have stayed in. Loved the coastal and marsh views. So peaceful and private with plenty of room for everyone. Thank you Carla for sharing your lovely home with us. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful house

This is a great property to rent! Carla was extremely easy to communicate with and accommodating. The house is clean, up to date, and one of the most well stocked rentals with everything you could need! We enjoyed walking to the beach and a great playground nearby as well as sitting on the back porch and watching the birds in the marsh. We highly recommend staying here and would rent here again.

Lovely Setting for Escape from New England Cold!

What a great place to stay for a two week escape from the cold RI winter! You simply can not beat the gorgeous views of ocean and marsh! We loved the big screened porch on the marsh side for coffee and cocktails. Or for an afternoon nap! The bird life in the marsh is wonderful. So many species. The location of the home is perfect for fun trips into St Augustine and then come home to the more laid back Vilano Beach. House is well equipped and the artwork is lovely. We would stay again!

Beautiful Vacation

This vacation home was just what the doctor ordered. A view of the beach from the front, and a view of the river/marshes from the back. Sunrise and sunset were my favorite times of day, as we could see both! We were so comfortable here that we never left to venture out to St. Augustine. Maybe next time, as we'll definitely be back.

Great location!

My family and I went to this home for family vacations. The location is great and the communication with Carla (the owner) was really good. She's taking care of everything you need and answering every single question immediately. I will come back. The beach is only a few steps. I would recommend this house 100%.

Fabulous!

The views, the views, the views! Sunrise and sunset off deck and porch. Heavenly. Ocean breeze and views with coffee. Fully equipped house! Beautifully decorated. Comfortable furniture and everything you could need. We had a blast and will be back! Communication with Carla was excellent.

Nice Quick Getaway for TPC

The home is located nicely with close beach access, St. Augustine, and Ponte Vedra. We took advantage of attending The Players and traffic coming from the south on A1A was quick. Took advantage of restaurants in St Augustine and of course walked the 5 minutes to hang out at the beach. The home is well kept and suited out 2 person needs well. Communication was great and everything was as represented on the listing. We will definitely consider returning.

Wonderful quiet beac with sunrise/sunset views

Our family had such a wonderful time with enough room to gather together and make great memories together, but enough privacy to rest and decompress as well. Great views of both beach sunrises from the front balcony and sailboats gliding on the river at sunset from the large rear screened porch. Great location: less than one minute to either beachfront or riverfront dining and five minutes to historic downtown St. Augustine. The beach access is across the Coastal Highway, which iwas easy enough for our 4 adults 50-72. Families with children might prefer the nearby public beach access points less than a 2 minute drive north or south if crossing the highway is a concern. We really loved the very quiet beach stretch our access led to—-maybe only 10 other umbrellas in sight yet beaches appeared to be well-patrolled by the county so we felt safe. Seeing Vilano in the rear view mirror was the only downside…until we meet again

Excellent Guest House

This guest house was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The owner was prompt in communicating and has thought of the things that will help guests enjoy their stay, such as providing coffee and spices and lots of dishes/cookware. The beds were very comfortable, and extra pillows and blankets were available if needed. What sets this rental apart from others is all the beach gear available to borrow, including towels, nice chairs (with pouches for your stuff), umbrellas, sand toys, balls, and a wagon (plus cornhole for the back deck). And perhaps the highlight of staying at this house was having several outdoor spaces to relax, so you can choose where to spend your time based on where the sun is. The walk to access beach is quick, but crossing the street can take patience, since cars do not stop for pedestrians and you have to wait for a gap in traffic. However, the beach is very peaceful at this location. In March there were only a few other people on a warm sunny day, while areas farther down in both directions were more crowded. There are several restaurants close by, and it's not far from the historic area in St. Augustine, making this location a good choice for a beach vacation.

Wonderful Home, Amazing Location!

We had an amazing time staying in this home with friends that came out from CA to meet us in beautiful St. Augustine. This house was the perfect fit for our 4 adults and two kids (ages 15 and 10) . It had plenty of room, not a detail forgotten, and very well appointed to have everything we might need to enjoy our trip. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you might need to cook and even little details like ziploc bags, foil, and cleaning supplies. The beds were all comfy, nice towels in both bathrooms, and super clean. The beach is right across the street and the supplies were on point with everything we could have needed at the beach and so much more. There are plenty of beach chairs, towels, wagons, and every fun game you can think of! We took advantage of the fire pit and had S'mores the night before we left. It was just a wonderful time and such a place to enjoy our loved ones. Carla was wonderful to work with, very attentive, and super simple check in. She also offered us early check-in and late check-out due to her cleaners schedule working out to allow that. Wonderful way to accommodate guests. Thank you again for the use of your lovely home. It was a great time for all of us! We hope to be back!

Wonderful Spring Break

Carla and Tim were wonderful hosts and highly responsive with communication. You can tell they genuinely care and want this VRBO to be one of the best and are continuing to make improvements to the house and property to make it that way. The house has everything we needed and more, as we cooked a lot of meals at the house. The new grill was an awesome find! We didn’t even need to bring any of our own beach toys, as there were lots in the wagon they provided in the garage. It was fun for our youngest to play in the sand at the house too! There were also numerous boogie boards, skim boards, floats and even a nice beach “blanket” and lots of nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs that seemed new. They provided dish soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, ziploc bags, etc. Plus Publix is just an easy 5 minute drive down the road. There is a cabinet with games, which we never used, as our weather was perfect and we were outside as much as we could be. The beach is super easy to get to across the street, you just need to be patient with crossing A1A, as most cars won’t stop for you. We held on tight to the hand of our youngest for that part, but was worth it bc it felt like we had our own private beach when there. We loved the sunset views off the back screened in porch deck area. The sofas and beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels, sheets and extra blankets provided. We rented wave runners from Beaches Marina that’s right by Publix and that was a highlight of the trip.

Excellent host and the house was spotless. Very nice view of a marsh area looking toward the intracoastal. Great place to view the sunsets. Very comfy beds with very nice linens and lots of nice quality pillows. Such a nice screened porch area with a view of the marsh area. We actually ate our meals out there each night.
