House is very colorful an artsy, lot’s of Spanish flavor and potential for great beauty and places for outdoor eating and relaxing. However the pool and outside fountains were very neglected in need of power washing and cleaning. Major area of disappointment.

This home was absolutely wonderful! Everything was spotless, with beautiful fresh linens and plenty of towels. The house was extremely comfortable and welcoming, decorated with stunning Spanish style touches that made it feel special. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beautiful getaway!On another note, everything was close by if interested in St Augustine downtown, beaches and shopping.

If you wish to escape the mundane, book The Gaudi House! It felt as if we were living in our own little Spanish village. How fun it was to walk around and view the intricate tiles and artwork collected by the past owners - oh, and how cool were the repurposed french door covered dividers! We felt as if we were vacationing in a different country. The view from the pool looking up into the majestic moss dripping oaks was a nature lover's paradise. I wanted to take that view, the enchanting dinning room, and the main bathroom home with me! The house was clean, warm and inviting, the beds were cozy, architecturally interesting and comfortable, and Daniel was a prompt and informative host. Also, the neighborhood felt safe, friendly, and very quiet.The only surprise was to learn the Vrbo images were not current: the colorful umbrellas were no longer there and some of the outdoor furniture and cushions could use an upgrade, including the artificial outdoor flowers. In conclusion, we loved the uniqueness and privacy and plan to visit again in the future.Thank you for a positive 5-star experience.

Overall the house was very cozy. Pictures were exactly as described. It could use a little updated things such as doors/doorknobs and appliances but other than that it was fine. It was spacious for my family of 6 plus my one year old son. Very close to everything that St. Augustine has to offer

I think everything was great! It was very centrally located and easy to navigate to downtown and the beach. The kids loved the pool and it's a very unique place to stay at. The neighborhood seemed safe and we had no issues. The host was also very responsive!

So fun!!!

We had a wonderful time! It was my son’s 30th birthday celebration with our family. We cooked our own dinners and enjoyed a trip to St. George street. None of us had ever stayed in St. Augustine and we will be back.

Beautiful house

Stayed with my 2 teenage daughters, 6 year old daughter, and husband. Place was clean, and my youngest leved looking all over around the house and in the not so "secret garden". Loved the pool and location to the sites.

Beautiful Eclectic home!

We wanted a private home with a pool in the St Augustine area for a Memorial Day getaway. The Gaudi House more than fit the bill! Check in was easy and the hosts communicated directly and when needed. We found the house to be an awesome place with incredible details inside and out. The tile-work alone is just unbelievable. The bed was comfortable, the AC kept the house very cool. The pool was beautiful and clean. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. We were able to walk no more than 2 blocks for a good dinner and brunch. The Smart TV in the living room had all our streamer apps already downloaded and was easy to log into our accounts to watch. Fridge was clean and kept all out food and frozen stuff at the perfect temps. I hope to be back again, maybe with friends or family to share the ambiance and fun.

Artistic Masterpiece

This home is so incredibly beautiful. The tile work is amazing, and the artwork compliments it very well. My family of 3 truly enjoyed our stay here. The living room is spacious and the couch is very comfortable for relaxing and watching TV. The beds were all comfortable and each bedroom has a TV. The pool area is beautiful and the pool was very clean. I've stayed in many rentals over the years and this was my favorite by far. Super easy communication with the owner too.

Interesting house!

We had a girls weekend here at it as a lot of fun! There's not a ton right near the house but it's an easy and quick drive downtown. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the 4th bed is not in a living room, as the listing states, but actually a separate bedroom/loft area. The house is very interesting, definitely made for a fun stay!

Great Time in St. Augustine

We really enjoyed our stay at such an eclectic house. Lots to look at in every room. I gave my family the choice at Christmas of Eclectic,Historic or Modern without letting them know it was for a rental. They were very excited and glad they chose the eclectic option. It was very clean and located near all of the main attractions. We were just a few minutes from downtown and the beaches. Tons of restaurants and shops nearby It was in a very safe feeling neighborhood.

Ladies weekend away

We were a group of eight women all enjoying a weekend away. The house was perfect for our needs. It was warm. It was clean. It was beautifully appointed, and everything was exactly as advertised. It would definitely be a repeat choice for us. The bedrooms were comfortable, spacious, and the bathrooms were the same. We had a beautiful weekend and we look forward to being able to visit again.

Quirky lil place

We were looking for a different experience and this house fit the bill. They went all out on the decor, leaving no surface unadorned in the Spanish style. There were some odd touches like a bathtub filled with fake flowers outside and a very strange toilet in what we assume is the primary addition. The doors don’t lock well, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe. All said, it was memorable indeed! We appreciate the commitment to the gaudi and Spanish theme.

Love!

We loved this place. It is so charming and unique, and has so many different rooms - we spent the first hour or two just exploring it.The location was great, too. It's a straight 25-minute walk to downtown which - considering we were there for Nights of Lights - is about 3x faster than driving.The host was communicative and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
