Condo was very warm and welcoming! Had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean . Close to beach and many restaurants. Owner quick to answer any questions we had. Very pet friendly 🐶 Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again.

Car Show Getaway

Great condo for a quick trip to St Augustine. Very well stock. Good neighborhood and the neighorbor are nice and quiet. We were there for a car show, so explored the area some, but not as much as we could have. Great location. Close to everything that we wanted to do. The beach access right by the house was closed, no fault of the listing, but it would have been so nice if it was open for night walks. We just had to go a little further down the road to the next access to get on the beach by the pier. The condo is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near the beach.

Spring Break 2024

We enjoyed our stay of three nights. Unit was comfortable. Our party was two adults and our daughter and her friend. Unfortunately, the closest part of the beach was closed at the time we were there, We enjoyed walking to the pier and the local restaurants nearby, which permitted our dog to join us on their outdoor dinning areas.

This place matched the pictures well and the location was as great as expected. What sets this property apart is the owner’s attention to lots of extra details. Much more than just a place to crash, the host includes lots of extras that make this place feel even better than home. Definitely a great place for a nice vacation.

The unit itself is nice. Decorated in a beachy theme. There are a few things that need to be addressed. The shower in the hall bathroom makes loud noises when you turn it on, the TV is connected to Wi-Fi and gets kicked off often, the unit is on the first floor so the bug situation is intense. Anytime you open the door something flies in. In addition the pool for the community is not maintained and was dirty both times we went to it.

Lovely comfortable ground floor condo in a great location with a caring and responsive owner

This was a trip for just my wife and myself, for two weeks, to escape winter. The condo is well-equipped, and we couldn't think of anything we were missing, in terms of amenities. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen functional, etc. I also give kudos to Stephanie, the owner, who is super-responsive, before and during the stay. Really great.

Nice and close to beach

Didn't start morning walks on the beach until late in the stay. Our mistake. Beachcomber and Salt Life are a short walk or drive and very nice. Wanted to play tennis at YMCA, but did not. My bad again. Very well equipped except Owner needs a faster wireless router and better remote in bedroom and fix broke blind in bedroom so can sleep in late without sun in face. We are bad vacationers. We both worked some. Thus, the need for faster router. Alternative is to buy 25' ethernet wire for $15, which I did on 3rd day, and run wire from router port to laptop.

Great location to enjoy the beach and historic St. Augustine. Very clean and beds were very comfortable! Easy 10 minute walk to the beach and the beach was not crowded! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay in this condo!

Beautiful House!

My daughter and her friend loved the beachy decor a lot! The place was clean and the master bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of supplies there, too. Everything you need in the kitchen, beach towels, and toiletries. We were just minutes from all of the sites in St. Augustine and very close to the beach.

Everything As Expected

Had a wonderful stay at The Beach Retreat. Everything was as expected. Communication with the owner was excellent. Would happily stay here again. Lots to do in St Augustine and the beach was a very short walk away.

The good news: The condo is only 0.25 mi from the beach, and the unit was clean. The bad news: The condo is old and needs lots of updates. The furnishings are junky, like they were bought at a yard sale and painted beach colors. The memory foam mattress in the master has a huge sag that left my back sore. The ceiling has no sound insulation, and you can hear kids running around constantly. The TV does not have cable and doesn't receive CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CNBC, Golf Channel, etc.. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom sinks is so low as to make them almost nonfunctional. The exterior of the building is covered with mildew. We left 4 days early.
