Florida vacation

This beach house is in a perfect location and the beach was absolutely amazing. The house itself was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival so we did have to clean counters/sinks, wipe down appliances and wash all the bedding prior to our first night of sleep. Only one washer is working of the 2 so we found a local laundromat. Communication with the owner was just fine, only thing was he didn't own that the house wasn't cleaned even though we sent pictures of what we were seeing. Overall we had a wonderful time and the cleaning issues definitely did not spoil our trip.

Excellent location and property amenities. Poor property management

The house is very nice. Awesome location right on the beach. There is a pool and Jacuzzi, which is excellent. The owner was great to communicate with and very responsive. The property management team or person needs to be replaced. I know the owner lives far away, but there were just too many things that were not working properly, broken, or just left undone or messy. If it weren’t for the management of the property I would give it five stars. I don’t like when the picture show everything spotless and clean and orderly and then you show up and it is not that way.

Perfect location and “party” home

This is the perfect location for St Augstine Beach! It’s right on the beach (you can’t get closer to the sand), it’s within walking distance of a couple of the more fun restaurants in the area, and across the street from a beloved local coffee shop. There’s ample bedrooms for a stay with kids and both of the “main” suites have large bathrooms, with great showers and water pressure. Unfortunately the renters prior to us were less than ideal and the one woman cleaning crew simply couldn’t turn the place around in time. I recommend bringing your own towels (very few were provided, especially in the common areas like kitchen, powder room, etc), and if you like to cook, anything you might need to prep a meal. We stay in about a dozen vacation homes a year and this is one of those that provides the “leftovers” from other residences. You are definitely paying for the size and location of the home, not the luxurious amenities. It’s a great party house right on the beach though!

Perfect House for our Bachelorette Trip!

The house was perfect! Plenty of space for a larger group of girls. Clean, spacious kitchen and sitting area. Sleeping arrangements and bathrooms worked really well and the backyard pool plus being steps away from the beach were better than we could've asked for. The host was so communicative and responsive with details about the property and recommendations for the area. Check in and check out was easy and seamless. There were so many great spots to grab coffee, food and drinks around the area and just a short uber ride from downtown St. Augustine. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Family vacations

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

We had a wonderful time, relaxing with our family and friends in this beautiful beach house. We also enjoyed going into town to play miniature golf and celebrate my husband's 60th birthday at a great restaurant! We hope to come back!

Everything and more

We wanted for nothing. The house was amazing, clean, roomy, and right on the beach. It was peaceful but still in the area of things to do around it. The bikes were a special thing that the kids loved. Lots of extras in the garage for the teens to do. The first floor master was so helpful so the kids could have the second floor. The house was better than any picture could show. The owner was kind and communicative and the whole process rom start to finish was seamless.

Family time at the beach

Great location, easy access to beach and St. Augustine attractions. Heated pool charges were not clear. My allergy sufferers felt the house was a bit musty. It was great spending time with family at the beach.

Surf’s Up Review

There were things we loved about Surf’s Up and other things that were less than desirable. The amenities were fabulous, and the home was well equipped. The ocean-front location and proximity to the beach were excellent, although not have a prime ocean view was a disappointment—only because my favorite thing about being at the beach is watching the sunrise. The home has a very musty odor and mold on the ceiling in the living room—health concern. The faucet in the upstairs primary bath was unusable because the water had a sewer smell. The driveway flooded during an overnight rain storm, and there was standing water above the tires and door level of two of our cars, causing concern about driving both cars. Also, it would have been helpful for the host to have provided guides for the tvs and a packet of local info. Although our family enjoyed the trip, the negatives ( especially the mold) out weighed the positives.

Great family get away

The BEST location for our girls trip

This adorable beach house is in the perfect location. Enjoy the most amazing sunrises on the beach which is literally steps away. Listen to the waves crash against the shore while relaxing in the pool or hot tub. Tons of space for sleeping and hanging out. Stocked very well especially for going to the beach with bikes, chairs, a wagon and umbrellas. We had the best time and communication with the property manager was super easy and seamless, he gave us tons of recommendations for places to go and things to see. Seriously you will not find a better location to enjoy the St Augustine beach!

Perfect Beach Location

We had 6 adults and 5 children (ages 5-9). The pool was in constant use, multiple hours on the beach (awesome sunrise walks!). It was a short walk to restaurants, shops, and mini golf. Grocery stores were minutes away. And downtown St Augustine was a short drive. A perfect spot for a family vacation.

"Fam Jam 2024" St Augustine Beach House

What a wonderful week of sharing and creating new memories! Plenty of space for four of our families to spread out, extra large table for dining, plenty of towels and paper products provided. The views were amazing and having not just one but two washers and dryers helped keep up with the little ones laundry. Comfortable "beachy" decor, bikes, beach cart, WE LOVE IT!
