The host was very responsive and easy to work with. The home was clean and everything in working order, including the hot tub. Location is great but the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes for those with little ones that need to bring a wagon. Easy drive to public beach parking as well. We appreciated the coupons for local sweet shops!

Perfect spot for a weekend away. Cozy rooms, nice outdoor area and neighborhood was quiet. The hot tub was super nice but chemicals were very strong so only used once if we were there for more than 3 nights we would have asked for it to be checked out. We asked for late check out since we did not arrive till after midnight the first night but did not get a response. Overall would definitely stay at this property again.

Great Father’s Day weekend!

This trip was planned on a whim...we just needed to get away for a few days! This townhome is very clean and nicely decorated. The outdoor sitting area was nice. The owner was really friendly and so very helpful for anything we might need. Look forward to going back soon! Thank you for a nice stay!

House of Shells

We came down from Chicago with our fur children for our granddaughters graduation. We loved the place and the host was very responsive and kind. All the instructions were perfect and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. We come down yearly to visit family and we will be back.

Quiet, zen-like retreat

While the front facade was somewhat underwhelming, the interior was definitely a pleasant surprise. It was clean, well-appointed, and very welcoming. Not full of fru-fru, but nicely decorated and comfortable. The bedrooms were separated, each with its own bathroom. The linens were good quality and plentiful. The owner/manager took pains to provide additional amenities, ie: laundry pods, dish soap, coffee, sugar, flour, etc. The rear yard is totally private with a hottub overlooking a peaceful raised garden. The covered pergola was an added bonus and contributed to the zen aesthetic. The owner/manager? was immediately responsive to any questions or concerns I had and was genuinely kind and helpful, going out of his way to help. I was impressed. I originally intended to be alone, but once I experienced the serenity there, I invited my adult grandson to spend some time with me and explore the old city. He was equally enamored with the House of Shells. Despite the not-so-wonderful weather, the stay was made enjoyable by the delightful environment.

Wonderful beach getaway

Nice, clean, close to the beach. Exactly as advertised. The backyard is absolutely beautiful! Plenty of space and beds for my husband and myself plus our four girls. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing stay

The house was extremely clean and well furnished. After spending the week at the Players Championship golf tournament, it was great to come home to the hot tub before grilling dinner and enjoying the fire pit after dinner.

Amazing experience!!

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. It was equipped with everything that we needed, and very very clean. We had our 7 year old & 3 year old and it was very accommodating to the kids. Also the hot tub and whole back yard set up was great. The kitchen has literally everything you would need to cook for your family. Over all amazing experience, short walk to the beach and quiet nice neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Enjoyed a great stay at this property. The two bedrooms were large and the unit was extremely well stocked with everything you could need while away from home. Location was great for access to the beach as well as downtown Vilano and St. Augustine. Communications from the property management made checkin and checkout a breeze. Definitely felt like a home away from home

Really was perfect

This place was ideal for our vacation. There is a small hike to the beach, but we were there to explore all of the area and not just the beach. For a pet friendly rental you couldn't tell and we were recently somewhere else that you could definitely tell. We were celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and he really enjoyed the hot tub. Don't pass on this!

Clean, neat and close to everything

If you’re visiting St. Augustine for the beach, it’s an easy walk or bike ride from this property to beach access. If you’re visiting to sightsee, you’ll be where the action is within minutes. The location is ideal and it’s located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The property itself was clean and neat when we arrived. It smelled wonderful inside and you could tell the property managers took care in preparing for our arrival. The AC kept it very cold throughout the house but the master bedroom did stay quite a bit warmer. I’d suggest a better fan for that room, for those of us who like it a little cooler at bedtime. The back patio was a nice place to unwind and spend some downtime. Our small dogs loved it out there and spent plenty of time sitting out in the sunshine. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. I have no complaints about this property. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the time and care that was taken to offer us a clean and affordable home away from home while we were in town!
