Very Pleased

We had a great time at Colony Reef. Room was as described and beach access was perfect. We had to leave a little early due to a forecasted hurricane, but the office staff was very helpful and accommodating.

The grounds where kept up very well. The only negative. The walk to the beach was longer than expected for a 88 year old in the way it was described.

Location!

The overall experience was fantastic. Location was perfect. Beaches wonderful. Amenities at condo were great for kids. Unit itself adequate but needs some TLC. Bring what you need since condo supplies nothing. We flew in so it was difficult to bring what we needed for beach. Spent unnecessary money on supplies. Then we had to leave it all behind or throw it away.

The place was great. The location was perfect. The condo had a nice outdoor and indoor pool. Very quiet place, and everyone was friendly. Would come and stay again.

Pros - short walk to beautiful soft sand. Cons - listing says newly renovated, property was dated and small. One roll of TP, no dish soap, no coffee filters and no extra blankets. Not quite what we had hoped for.

Family fun

We had a great time! The amenities were in great condition! My only complaint was the dampness in the condo. Towels and hanging clothes never dried even things that were dry felt wet the next morning. Other than that it was the perfect location with easy beach access and only 15 min from downtown! We had a blast and will definitely be back.

Great condo, ground level pool side with easy access to beach. Close to restaurants and town

Perfect property on ground floor next to pool and easy access to beach. With a multi-generation family stay, the condo suites all ages. Tastefully remodeled and user friendly especially the kids room with bunk beds. The condo even supplied board games, boogie boards and beach chairs. We enjoyed shore fishing on the beach, wonderful restaurants in and around St. Augustine and putt putt golf. Looking forward to another visit.

Location of this unit is ideal

Having a ground floor unit steps to the pool and a short walk to the beach was ideal. The pool area was very nice. The unit itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach chairs and pool toys. The location on A1A was convenient for our activities. We would stay here again.

Great unit- perfect location

Everything was great for our stay at this ground floor unit at Colony Reef. We had everything we needed. They even had beach chairs, boogie boards and an umbrella for the beach. We left 2 zero gravity chairs to add to their offerings. I have hip issues so I can’t sit low to sand. Hopefully others can enjoy. Our only suggestion is the master bed needs replacing. It is to hard!! I think with a better mattress this is a perfect rental unit! Thank you for a nice stay!

Looks can be deceiving

We had to clean once we got there. Fingerprints everywhere.. dust . Sand all over the top of the washing machine. Light in spare bath was not working. Maintenance and an electrician had to come. Toilet banged against wall, maintenance had to come to fix that. Back sliding door would not stay on track. It’s unfortunate when you have to spend time from your vacation waiting on staff to come fix problems... with no compensation from management. Up side ? It’s an excellent location.

Excellent stay and very comfortable condo!

The Colony Reef Club was an ideal location for our spring break. Condo 1105 was very comfortable, very clean and up to date with decor and amenities. Proximity to the pool and beach couldn't be topped, and it's just far enough away from the main action of St. Augustine Beach. The beach was beautiful and plenty of space for all of us to maintain distance. I would highly recommend this property for families.

Check in was Great. Location was so nice.

The trip went Great. Only negative was the pillows in the master and guest bedrooms were terrible. Recommend replacing them. The Kitchen was fully stocked. Furniture in living room was good. Overall Great experience. We will be back.

Easy access to the beach and grassy common area

Great accommodations for a family of 5 and ground floor. Boogie boards were there however don't count on them just in case. No beach towels. One toilet paper roll per bathroom, no paper towels. Otherwise a great stay

Excellent location, easy to beach and pools, great apartment

Would return to this complex and especially this unit. Ground floor, porch just steps to pool, hot tub and beach boardwalk. Apartment was clean, spacious 3 bedrooms with 6 beds that was perfect for my family. Had all needed amenities to cook and prepare all meals. Great place for cooler time of year too as we rotated between beach, outdoor pool and hot tub, and the heated indoor pool. 10 mins to alligator farm and 20 mins to all St. Augustine attractions. Kid friendly!

Location, location, location

This property was everything we wanted and more! Our location provided easy access to the pool and beach, which was necessary with two 6 year old boys. We loved our stay and made memories that we will remember for a lifetime. We visit Florida once a year and hope to visit this location again. Only thing I would recommend is that they provide beach towels. Also, better stocked with some necessities would be good. We flew in from Arizona and weren’t able to bring some of those things with us, but other than that it was...Perfect!

Enjoyed but fell short of a few things.

Was clean on arrival. Would have “liked” a larger bowl for making pancakes, more bath towels than “just enough” for those staying, larger frying pan for more than 2 people, mattresses could use replacements on all beds and second bathroom ceiling needs serious Maintenance attention. Unable to take two showers at the same time due to lack of hot water and dishwasher smells of burned plastic when washing. The location was perfect despite poor DIY improvements in the condo. The view of the outdoor pool you see in photos is breathtaking yet it is not heated so unusable during our stay.

Property nice/ property manager not so nice

I was notified a few hours before our checkin that we would not be able to stay in our scheduled unit due to an AC problem. Natalie at the front desk was awesome and tried to find a unit to accommodate our family. Donna, the property manager, was anything but nice and willing to refund me my money rather than deal with me! Her customer service skills are definitely lacking. This was SO upsetting, since our vacation for my husbands 60th birthday had been planned for 3 months. We had our children and grandchildren coming from 4 different parts of the U. S. to celebrate with us. The property was beautiful and well kept however, and we had a great time together.
