First Time Renters

great property, cleaning crew needs more attention to detail, dishes were still wet and had water sitting in them, dishwasher had gray water standing in bottom of it, ceiling fans were dirty, pool table had no balls, and jacuzzi smelled like it had too many chemicals in it, and the water was discolored. great layout for the house, guest suite above the garage was wonderful. warning, the lake dock is shallow, i had to walk the boat out before putting it in gear.

2/10 Not for families with young children

We chose this listing for the lake access and that was the best part about it. The sand and beach area, along with being in a quiet cove, was perfect for our families, including 3 toddlers. Unfortunately, the lake access is the only part of this listing we can recommend. There were several significant safety concerns. Both the railings inside the house near the stairwell, and outside on the upper deck are not built to code. The railing around the inside stairs was shaky to start but balusters should be less than 4 inches apart, these were closer to 6 - which may not sound like a significant issue until we realized that our toddlers could completely fit through the railings. We figured this out when one of the children swung through the railing and onto the side of the stairs, almost dropping down the entire flight of stairs. As such, we had to engineer a barrier with cut-up sheets from our own home just to ensure that there would be no significant injuries. We also saw roaches multiple times throughout the house including the kitchen, on the family room couch, and in the basement- all during daytime hours. When we contacted Vacasa about this, their response was to send someone out to spray, which we declined as it would be spraying chemicals inside while we were there. The house and many things in it were in general disrepair. One of the toilets didn’t work and we needed to call maintenance twice to have that resolved. Weekend retreat

The house was mostly great for our group of 12 and we thoroughly enjoyed the dock, kayaks and game room. The kitchen was tight for cooking for a group that size and there was only “table seating” for 9. The check in was terrible as we did not receive a code and when we finally did, the smart lock didn’t work. There were ZERO instructions for getting into the loft. The keys and access to the loft was like trying to get out of an escape room. Had to actually send pictures to the person helping me in order to figure out that access to the loft is through the garage. The listing said that it was a “lovely 3 minute stroll to the state park”. On the map, the park boundary is indeed quite close, but there is no way to actually walk there. I asked multiple times (even 2 weeks before we went) about walking access because I was skeptical and was repeatedly told it was a lovely stroll. The chatbot was quite certain that it was a “lovely 3 minute stroll”. It is NOT. You can drive or take a kayak, but you cannot walk. While the property is fine, I’m having second thoughts about using VRBO/vacasa again.

Lake Days

The property location and amenities were perfect. We spent five days on the lake and there were plenty of activities at the house to fill the nights. The added bonus of the loft over the garage gave everyone plenty of space to spread out and enjoy some downtime. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping us make memories with our family! enjoy so downtown

Extremely Disappointing

My anticipated vacation at Treasured Cove turned out to be devastatingly disappointing. As such I would like to formally request a refund. The major issues of note include: Ant and roach infestations in the kitchen and downstairs bedroom. (Pictures available) This was clearly a known problem based on the presence of an abundance of traps strewn around the house. The house was also marginally cleaned in advance of my arrival. There were strands of other people's hair on the furniture, throw cushions, in the showers and on the floors. There were spider webs on interior light fixtures, the corners of walls etc.; candy wrappers and other trash under the credenza in the living room etc.; poorly washed dishes and pots with residue from previous use. I travelled with an infant who is crawling, which made the potential of her crawling on the floor with the presence of roaches, ants and foreign hairs even more unsanitary and alarming. This was by far well below the experience that I hoped for, anticipated, Or paid for. It was deplorable and as such I am requesting a refund. Thank you.
