"The room met all l of my needs, was clean and comfortable. It was only 12 minutes from my daughter's home. The owner gave clear directions. I would stay here again if available."

"We had a great time staying here. The directions to find and access the place were easy to follow. The bedroom was very comfortable (nice and toasty despite the chilly weather) and the facilities were great. And what a special treat to find fresh-baked muffins upon arrival!"

"If I could give it more stars, I most definitely would! The host is AMAZING with communication and very polite! Definitely enjoyed staying here just for a place to lay my head from enjoying my birthday out in Philly! Definitely would visit again!"

"Description and photos set appropriate expectations. Yes, there is an elevated train outside the door. Did it bother us? No, we were expecting it and being close to a stop was an added plus for touring the city. The studio was clean, the host communicated quickly and clearly when the VRBO website didn't so that we had no delay in checking in, the toiletry amenities were unexpected and thoughtful, and the prepared notebook of options for restaurants and places to visit was appreciated. "Our stay was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The room was very clean. The milk, bread, and jam were outstanding and Dorothy even gave us some fresh berries. Sasha was the highlight of our stay. From quiet morning to coffee to walking the gardens, we truly enjoyed our time and will stay again if traveling to PA."

"Dave is super easy to deal with. Truly enjoyable."

"Overall a great place to stay in Allentown. The place is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We ended up parking on the street as parking behind the building was a bit confusing to understand precisely where to park. You do have to pay to park on the street every day except Sunday. The owner of Gems and Joe was very kind and informative regarding the area. This is so much nicer than a hotel and so much more comfortable."

"Loved it! Close to local restaurants and 10 min walking from ChinaTown. Would stay here again!"

"It wasn't apparent from the photos, but this unit was partially in the basement of the building, which was great at night, we didn't hear anything coming from outside, but the kitchen and common area had no windows so it's a little dark. There is no Kitchen table or common area with a TV, couch, etc. If you're not planning on cooking for yourself, it's probably fine. Beds were comfortable, and each room had it's own bathroom with a shower. Everything seemed pretty clean. It's bare-bones, but...

"The rooms are good but area around is not good. No restaurants near by. Also door code did not work after 1 day and host only texts... No audio call. I waited 30 minutes. Pl improve on prompt audio calls"
