"To start off with was not given the correct address of the property. Could use Villa # in front. Wi-Fi password was not correct. No ice. No screens on windows. No handrail on a dangerous staircase. No front door mat. All small fixes for sure. Otherwise we loved the place! Cozy spot! Had a lot of fun for sure. Thank you."

"We stayed just for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer to fully experience this incredible property! It was such a beautiful location with art pieces everywhere you looked. The host was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! The hot tub was a definite treat after a cool day hiking and the stars at night… wow! Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area and would stay again when we come back! "

"We absolutely loved our stay here. We spent a lot of time on the deck looking at the beautiful water view. Very comfortable furniture outside and inside. Tons of space for everyone to spread out if needed, well-stocked kitchen, great coffee maker. Terrific place to use as a base for exploring Cape Breton. Bonus - Jo, the property manager was terrific! "

"If you like solitude and nature, Big Intervale will give you that! The property is beautiful and off the beaten path. There are no services nearby so if you’re visiting off season, be sure to gas up and bring your toothbrush and snacks. It’s a good 20-30 minutes on a dirt road to get in or out of the cabins. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. "

"We had an amazing stay at Barbara's place. The house was spotless, spacious, and perfectly set up for a larger group, with plenty of room to relax, cook, and enjoy meals together. The views of the surrounding nature were breathtaking, and the location was ideal for exploring all the beauty Cape Breton Island has to offer. Barbara was thoughtful and responsive, making sure everything was just right. We’d absolutely stay here again—highly recommended!"

"We stayed at this property for 3 nights. Cheaper than staying along the loop and right on the water. The beds were comfortable, has all convenient amenities and a cute market not too far away. Only negative was the swarm of lady bugs inside. We would tidy up then have another one come on the counter, land on a glass etc shortly after - looked like a hive hatched in a window. "Really enjoyed staying in this home. The host was responsive and helpful with some recommendations. A very homey feel with everything you need to come back to after a long day exploring the island. Just a few min to a couple beaches, 15 min to town which felt doable even for a quick trip for ice cream, and about 30 min to the entrance to the national park. Comfortable bedding and couch. "

"The home was wonderful with fantastic sunset view of Chimney Point and the water. Used the wood fired hot tub under the stars each night. Very relaxing and comfortable spot. Don't forget to book dinner at Woodroad just down the road if you visit over a weekend! Superb experience!"
