Villa 21 Cabot

  • Built in 1906 this newly renovated 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home is truly a golfer's paradise. Located directly on the 2nd hole of Cabot Links, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the course while relaxing on the back deck. It's a short walk to the beach, and you can even cut through the golf course in the evenings. Our home is also only steps away from the resort and all the towns amenities. Come and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the serenity of Inverness Nova Scotia.
    The space
    Welcome to our historic Inverness coal miner Company House. Built in 1906 and tastefully updated in 2022, our home proudly bears the character of its age, so it's best suited for those who appreciate the quirks and charm of older homes. We're situated on the 2nd hole of Cabot Links golf course and offer a modest yet lovely view of the ocean and fairways. Our accommodations can host up to 6 guests.

    Steps away from the Cabot Links Pro Shop and Cabot Public House, you can enjoy the incredible sunsets directly behind the house in mid-summer. Our open concept kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals. It comes complete with a kitchen island, refrigerator, range, microwave oven, glassware, dishes, small appliances, silverware, pots and pans, and the basic utensils. We’ve also provided a shared washer and dryer and clothesline for your convenience.

    Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms and a full bathroom with shower. There are queen beds in two bedrooms upstairs and bunk beds in the third bedroom. We have provided you with extra linens and towels for your comfort.

    Located right next to Villa 22. Rent both for larger groups or families who want to be close together.

Nice and clean location

Was the same as per the photos on the listing, the location was clean and tidy and communication with owner was clear and concise. Nice place to stay while visiting Inverness.

Great layout, clean and comfortable!

This space had everything we needed for a great stay for 6 adults. Comfy chairs and beautiful views from the spacious deck, close to the beach, host was responsive. We had a wonderful time!

Great Location, Very enjoyable stay!

Stayed at the villa for a wedding in Inverness. Overlooking the Cabot Links, excellent back deck for relaxing while watching the waves roll in to the beach in the distance. Newly renovated and all the necessary amenities you would need. Highly recommend the Villa for a stay again!

Property was great. View was beautiful. Gave us the wrong apt so we weren’t in the flat we initially rented. But similar space so all good. No grocery store open for two days. Should have some basic supplies and mire facecloths and kitchen supplies

Window Screens were either broken or did not exist therefore could not stay open at night when bugs came out. no air flow in bedrooms and throughout the house as a result. We had great weather and needed the windows open. So you deal with bugs or a hot house

The pictures of the listing flatter the property substantially. I would not recommend this property to anyone either getting on in years or with mobility issues. The bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are difficult.

The view to the ocean was great, but for the price, this was a disappointment. The house smelled like sewage masked by glade plug ins. No screens on the windows, so it was a challenge to air out. Cleaning fee paid, but sand all over the floors. Bring everything you need to cook, simple amenities not provided such as coffee and S&P. Not worth the price.

Small fixes required

To start off with was not given the correct address of the property. Could use Villa # in front. Wi-Fi password was not correct. No ice. No screens on windows. No handrail on a dangerous staircase. No front door mat. All small fixes for sure. Otherwise we loved the place! Cozy spot! Had a lot of fun for sure. Thank you.

A short walk to Inverness Beach

It was comfortable for our group. The stairs going to the bedrooms were a bit steep but the 3 seniors managed. The first floor bathroom was very convenient. The kitchen was beautiful with new and upgraded fridge and stove. The only thing missing is a kitchen table and chairs for us card players. The island with the stools provided a great view towards the water for our meals. We had mostly good weather and used the deck and walk to the beach frequently. The location on the Cabot trail is a great location to travel to other spots- Margaret, Port Hood, Cheticamp, etc. They are still are doing upgrades and finishing but for an old miners home of 100 plus years, very cozy on cool nights We would return.

We had a good stay in Inverness and the accommodation was generally fine. The check-in was simple and no issues. The accommodation was clean and there was lots of towels and linens. It is a very short walk to the beach which was very enjoyable. There were no beach towels or chairs or the like provided. Many of the windows on the ground floor do not have blinds or covers and are missing screens, so privacy is a bit lacking. The kitchen appliances all were relatively new and functional. Compared to other places we have stayed though it was very sparsely stocked with any sort of ingredients you would need for basic cooking, so bring everything you need to cook. It was not clear to us from the listing that this property is a duplex with an adjoining unit. The next unit was rented during our stay, the people were quiet and their dogs were not an issue. The clothes washer is located off of the adjacent unit, but it was accessible to us and worked fine.

Bad septic/sewer smell in every room. Floors soft and moving and sloped in all rooms including inside actual shower. No screens on windows to let bad sewer order out and not let mosquitoes and bugs in. Place was not clean before arriving and beds were not made up clean. Host was very slow to respond and was not truthful with answers. Broken furniture. Very tight and difficult stairs to all bedrooms and cleaning lady even fell down them when cleaning the day after we got there, since it was not clean on arrival, this was according to the host's text.
