South Lake Tahoe at Lakeland Village

The property was very nice and clean. Great location and great view of the lake from this unit. The common area was so nice to just relax and enjoy the lake and the beach area. All the amenities you need. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were closed for maintenance the whole time we were there. At least there was a yellow sign stating that it was closed. Much of the parking lot areas were torn up for construction so we were not able to pull up next to our unit and unload which was a bit of an inconvenience. A head's up would have been nice. But overall, nice place, clean and great view and location.

Excellent location

Not only is this location great for walking, but the unit itself is perfectly positioned to see the pool, beach, and lake from the living and the balcony! We enjoyed walking over to the beach, using the fire pits, having a morning coffee on the balcony...AND...being able to walk to Whole Foods + over to Heavenly Village for shopping and restaurants after our day hikes.

Wish we stayed longer…lovely place!

The unit was very clean, beautiful and conveniently located within Lakeland Village. It’s a very short walk to the pool and beach…easy to run back quickly for snacks or drinks. We cooked in the kitchen one night, which was a pleasure with gorgeous views of the water. Kitchen is well stocked, although you might want to bring particular seasonings if you have favorites. Basics are there. I tend to bring extra Ziploc bags, foil, and plastic wrap just in case we pack a lunch to the beach. Communication was awesome, from start to finish. Everybody I dealt with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Instructions, rules and procedures were clearly communicated for check-in and check out. Had a couple of questions along the way and my inquiries were answered very promptly. We have stayed at Lakeland Village many times throughout the years and this unit is now one of my favorites. We will definitely come back! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Perfect Location

The condo was very nice and the location was great! The condo is close to the pool, beach and fire pits. We really enjoyed our stay. I had read that there was only 1 bed in the loft but to our surprise there was a bunk bed with double beds on each bunk! This worked perfect! The only thing was that there wasn't a bathroom on the level of the kitchen and dining room (level 2). This worked for us and it wasn't as inconvenient as I thought it would be. We had one small issue that the property manager was able to solve easily. I appreciated that he was very responsive and friendly. Thank you!

Great location and great amenities

We had a great stay here. It's very clean. Very close to the pool and private beach access. Very close to a lot of great restaurants and fun things nearby. It's a loft style, so the upstairs got extremely hot and there are not many windows. We opened the patio door, the two windows, and ran a box fan to cool it down but it didn't get cool the upstairs until closer to midnight. Not ideal, but it didn't affect our stay and we still had a great time here.

No instruction for using the key pad for entry. Either it wasn’t working or we didn’t know how to use it. Called and was let in remotely. We only stayed 1 night so it was fine, but would have been inconvenient for coming and going. No instruction provided for entry at the spa, heated pool and no map to find game rooms. The king bed was at slope with feet higher than the head of bed. Finally figured out why we were uncomfortable and slept with our heads at the foot of the bed. The place was clean, and the kitchen was nice.

Condo with view of the lake

The condo has a partial view of the lake, and you can easily walk to the lake to spend the day at the beach. The condo is nice. We had two couples. The loft bed is a full size bed, so it’s a little snug for two adults. We had problems with some of the amenities in the condo. We contacted the manager and she usually responded the next day with a solution. An instruction book with the details on how things work, restaurants, parking permits would have been nice to have. But overall it is a nice condo in a nice complex and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Property

The condo was beautiful and VERY clean. It had enough space for us and our snowboarding gear. The location is perfect for a week long ski trip, and steps from the hot tub/pool area. The code we were initially given for the gated area was wrong, but we were able to get in thanks to other people staying in the area. The complex is close to everything, but not in the middle of it. A Whole Foods has recently been built across the street, which made it so convenient to pick up a few things that we forgot or ran out of during our stay. During the booking process, there was a little confusion regarding payments. I’ve had to make payments by the due dates for other properties I’ve booked by going through the app and authorizing it. For this property, the payments come out automatically on the due date and there isn’t a confirmation. I had a moment of panic that i was going to lose the reservation when i didn’t have access to send a payment. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just different from other booking experiences. I contacted the management company and they quickly responded that the payment would be taken automatically. One other note to make, check in instructions are sent via text message instead of email or being made available on the app. This caused some confusion on my end when we arrived and I had to go back and try to find the information in my messages that was sent weeks prior to our arrival. If we had any serious concerns or issues, there were multiple points of contact provided to get anything resolved. Thankfully, we didn’t need to reach out once we arrived. I would absolutely recommend this property to other travelers and I look forward to booking again in the future.

Updated description for you!

The property is listed to sleep 6, so you think it will be bigger then it is. You will be disappointed if you are expecting to have 6 adult people stay with you here! It makes you feel like maybe they say it will sleep 6, to charge more? It is nice and clean, and a nice place, so please hear that too! The layout should be understood a little better. Each floor is maybe 500sq ft Here is the layout: The first floor is the master bedroom/ bath& laundry area. Up the stairs is the kitchen and a 4 top dinner table. And the 2 leather couches. Then the 3rd floor is a loft not a bedroom and it has a nice bathroom with a shower.... the stairs are very steep- so not ideal for little kids or elderly people. I truly did not believe the other reviewers, that said it only sleeps 4 with a blow up mattress. There is actually no place to put the blow up mattress other then in front of the laundry room or moving the coffee table maybe.... but there’s no bathroom on that floor so they would have to take the stairs for a midnight run to the potty. Mind you there’s plenty of bedding and blankets - maybe too many, the dressers were full of them. The home is nice, clean, and newly remodeled. The listing description should be updated to match the true layout. The kitchen has very basic supplies. So no foil, plastic wrap or ziplocks, no slow cooker or, cast iron pans, 1 cutting board. This would be a good family of 4 getaway as long as the kids don’t mind sharing the loft. The master bed is very soft, but I like a soft bed. They have so many pillows so you should be able to find one that fits your needs. One more thing, It could really use a humidifier the weather this time of year is cold dry air The Property manager texts 💨 fasts they were super easy to get ahold of and is so nice! Even swapped out the coffee pot! Also they have a nest on the floors which has pros and cons. Like the cons being that it might have been turned up to 80 once and now it auto turns on to 80 at 3am! Pros being it heats up fast on each floor. Plus it also had A nice Gas fire place! :) Pros the property is right in the middle. Great views of the lake. Has a shuttle service that’s free Heated pools and hot tubs year round Super close to a hot tub on the lake! You will have a nice time!

Very nice but a few important notes..

The condo was as promised as far as how it looks. However the king bed desperately needs to be replaced is very broken down. Same with some of the cook wear, broken handles and super dull knives. The stairs are not good for older or little kids, very pretty but quite slippery in socks. I wanted to give this 5 stars because it is a very attractive condo with a great location and view as promised. But my back is killing me from the bed so we left a day early :(. With a little attention from the owner, this place could be amazing!!
