I joined a friend for a long weekend in Lake Tahoe in early August. Lakeland Village is a lovely property, quiet, and in an ideal location--so easy to get anywhere. The property also offers a large private beach, two pools, and a large jacuzzi. The townhouse was very clean and the sofa and beds were comfortable. The townhouse layout worked well for two people, with one bedroom on the 1st floor and a lofted bedroom on the 3rd floor. The lofted bedroom idea is not ideal unless everyone is on the same sleep schedule. We did experience some issues during our stay, including lamps and outlets that did not work, lampshades that were damaged and loose, windows that we could not open because they lacked screens, and lampshades that were damaged and loose. We were never able to get any of the televisions to work, so were not even able to play music. The biggest issue by far was the temperature variation within the townhouse. The third floor was always too warm, but there was a ceiling fan, so that helped; the second floor was usually comfortable and also had a ceiling fan; the first floor was always freezing. Blankets and jackets were necessary on the first floor and this was in early August. Perhaps this could be comfortable in cooler months when using the heater, but it was a downer for us.
