Staying at Audrey’s place was by far the best VRBO experience we’ve ever had. Very clean, private little place that was totally stocked with snacks and requested items for us to make breakfast. Very welcoming to our dog, too. 🐾 Audrey even made a wonderful homemade dinner for us the first night. Very much like a traditional bed and breakfast, which we love. Next time we return to South Haven, I wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here again!

We got away for one last weekend before we welcome our first baby next month. Audrey was such a sweet host and even turned the hot tub down to a temperature that was safe for me to use! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 10/10 recommend. The coziest little house, comfortable bed, and relaxing back yard! It’s a short drive to downtown South Haven and easy to get to other towns like Saugatuck and Holland! The perfect little stay for our quick weekend babymoon!

This was our 2nd time staying here. We absolutely love it!! The home was stocked with snacks, eggs, fresh breads and even items to make s’mores in the fire pit! The owners go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable!! The bed is extremely comfortable and the hot tub was a great way to end the evening.

Lovely getaway!

The property was darling and well-stocked - hospitality was also perfect with thoughtful and generous hosts. Upon arrival there was a delicious homemade snack (so thoughtful given my long travel day) and a fridge full of goodies. The bed was comfy and the space had everything I needed. I spent so much time with my family that I didn’t have time to enjoy all of the special treats like the hot tub, the s'more's kit, and the host’s sweet offer for a delicious breakfast, but I’ll certainly be back and will enjoy during my next stay.

Our stay was so lovely! We came for my birthday and Audrey left us a bottle of Prosecco chilling when we first arrived, in addition to many other snacks and treats. She also made us a delicious brunch on our last day. The space was really comfortable and we loved the amenities, from the fire pit to the hot tub. We were really able to relax. We hope to come back!

This lodging is a summer highlight!

We are HAPPY repeat visitors to this property and it has become a highlight of our summer! We have a family home 20 minutes away that we stay most of the day, but is filled to the brim for special occasions so we are very happy to escape to our 8 BARE FEET getaway!There are so many amenities, goodies, and surprises that Audrey and Andrew provide, it could verywell be a stand alone vacation destination as well!We look forward to figuring out how to create our next adventure that involves still another stay! Our dog Daizy is wagging her tail in anticipation of returning!! Thank you so much!!

Amazing time in South Haven

My partner and I stayed for a long weekend and had an absolutely lovely time. Audrey was wonderful and had great recommendations for nearby restaurants. The fresh eggs and snacks she provided were delicious. The home was clean and cozy and we loved snacking on the raspberries planted nearby. The absolute highlight of the weekend was kit kat, the farm cat that loved to cuddle. It was a very relaxing getaway and we can’t wait to come back.

This is a perfect couples getaway. Audrey is so warm and welcoming. It is nestled in the country with anything you would possibly need for your stay. A private outdoor seating area. You could her the eight bare feet playing in the distance

Perfect getaway

We need to get out of the city and disconnect from our busy lives and eternally “connected” internet dependency. We adored this little place, a place that not only fit our needs but also gave hundreds of extra joys! The host, Audrey, was very communicative. The tub area is cozy, and recently enclosed by a dome! … For the first time we could be in a tub with our dogs nearby so they didn’t stress. The tub area is aesthetically pleasing and dialed in. We brought foodstuffs, but the host also had a lot of goodies, some local. We won’t ruin the surprise, but we got something that rhymed with shminamon shrolls. We enjoyed every hour of this experience!

Very satisfied return customers

This is our second time staying at the Love Shack. We eat and shop in both Saugatuck and South Haven when we're in the area; the Love Shack is conveniently located in between both. The Shack is comfortable, clean and cozy--the perfect space for a quiet weekend away. Audrey and her husband are excellent hosts, very attentive, but also good about granting privacy. Both times, Audrey has provided plenty of snacks and offered to provide a hot meal. She's a fantastic cook/baker! We will definitely be back again.

Relaxing & delicious

Audrey & family were so incredibly generous. We stayed over Thanksgiving for our anniversary and first time empty nesters and they invited us to be part of their family for the day. Audrey is also an amazing cook and made breakfast for us and fixed our super early dinner reservation to a more reasonable dinner time for our anniversary. It was relaxing and so what we needed. South Haven is a cute little town. We came when it was cold. And we will be back when it’s warm and we can enjoy the beaches.

Wonderful!!

We had the most amazing stay!! The host went above and beyond. Everything was clean and neat. She had a pantry filled with various snacks and cold drinks in the refrigerator. She offered to make dinner for us both evenings. We were around the 1st night and dinner was absolutely delicious. She property was very quiet. I would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be returning!!

Wonderful place to stay.

This is one of our more memorable Vrbo stays. The location is special and Audrey went above and beyond any other host we have had in the past to ensure we had a great stay. While the location is a short drive from places to visit, it is centrally located between multiple wonderful destinations and the fact it is a short drive makes it a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. We felt extremely welcomed and relaxed in our surroundings. We would definitely recommend to others.

Anniversary stay

Audrey and Andy were very welcoming and accommodating as well as their children and animals. Loved the quiet country setting, not far from our favorite spots along Lake Michigan. The cottage is stocked with all the necessities. Loved our stay

We couldn't be happier with our stay. Audrey and Andy were incredibly accommodating and super friendly. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in South Haven. The place is so cute, all of the extras going above and beyond for their guests. Clean place and a great view. We can't wait to come back!

The best!

This was our first ever vrbo stay and we absolutely loved our few nights stay here and hope to be back asap! We traveled with our lil toddler and he had a blast with walking the grounds full of friendly chickens and fun areas he could explore. The pool and hot tub was amazing and we made use of it as much as possible. The cottage was perfectly sized for two adults and our lil guy in a pack n play. Audrey and Andy were the most gracious and accommodating hosts we could have ever imagined. From the home cooked dinner, to the freshly stocked fridge, pantry, baby gear, farmers market goodies, beach gear, bathroom necessities, and anything else you could think if needing, they provided with a smile and were always quick to communicate as needed or to offer up fun activity options nearby. The location provided a perfect amount of privacy and peacefulness. Having access to a washer and dryer was great with all of our pool and beach adventures so we could keep up with the wet clothes. We enjoyed being able to cook meals in the little stove and toaster areas and we were delighted to utilize veggies freshly picked from their garden. I can’t say enough great things about our stay and have already recommended to our friends and family for a perfect getaway with sweet hosts in a beautiful, serene location not too far out of town from the downtown South Haven area.

Perfect peaceful getaway

We had an amazing time getting away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Audrey was the best host, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! The property is very beautiful and extremely peaceful, watching the sunset from the hot tub was an added bonus! Our puppy Rubie, had the best weekend here too and loved running around in the yard! Thank you for your amazing hospitality Audrey, we had the best time!
