Nice location. Close proximity to several pocket beaches. The second bathroom shower never worked. The house had a musty smell, even with humidifiers running, especially the small vestibule area between the front door and garage. The sister house patio is directly outside of one of the bedroom windows. Guests in that house, obviously entitled to enjoy their time..but it was loud and after 9 pm. Not conducive to sleeping as we had two young kids with us. Several loose boards on the approach and the back deck is very rotted. There were three different days listed for garbage pick up. That should be updated.

Convenient location - doesn't live up to the pictures

when we visited, the cottage had a musty smell to it whenever you entered. The cottage was clean so not sure what the source of that was. The ceilings are low here as I am average height and was able to reach up and touch them. this is not obvious from the photos. The location was great, and that is as advertised. The hammock mentioned was a bit moldy and in need of replacement.

Great Stay Close to the Beach

This was our 8th family visit to South Haven, but our first staying on North Beach. We loved the proximity to the beach and the provided bicycles, scooters, etc. The listing was as described and had everything to make our stay comfortable, plus some extras such as children’s toys, books, games, etc. Thank you for a great stay!

A gem in a cozy neighborhood

We loved this little spot off the beaten path on the north side of town, easy walk to wonderful beach access, and a quick drive to all the excitement around the area. We had a perfect getaway with family. (Didn't realize it was directly adjoined to another rental, but the tucked configuration made it no bother at all)

Location

The property was nice, clean and you could not tell that the property was a duplex. We enjoyed our visit! The VRBO listing indicated that it was a short walk to the beach and to downtown. We didn't consider either to be a short walk (at least for our age)but both were a short drive distance. The beaches were great and the downtown area was quaint with plenty to do. We had a great time in South Haven and will be back.

Weekend wedding celebration

Rental met our needs. Our neighbors rented the adjoining property and that was great. Not so sure I would want to rent not knowing who’s in the adjacent property. Location was perfect. A couple of suggestions: bedrooms need mirrors and kitchen needs a griddle. Floor in hall needs repair and is a tripping hazard

Family friendly, great location, great overall experience

Stayed here for 4 nights with wife, 3yo and 1yo. The layout and amenities provided by this rental really suited our needs. Close walk to the public beach and easy drive to the main South Haven beaches.

Cute place and great location

The space was adorable and had almost everything we needed (3 adults for a long weekend). No one was in the larger adjoining unit so it felt very private. I am not sure if it would feel so private if the adjoining property was rented since they share a backyard. The only missing item we needed were adult sized folding beach chairs; backpack style ones would be a great addition. Also, there is inconsistent info in the listing. It is listed as a one bathroom unit but there were two full bathrooms which was really convenient. Walk to downtown stores and restaurants is a little over 1 mile. The nearest beach access was a little confusing, based on the signage public access is only 18 feet but people were spread out and I am not sur e who enforces the limited access, maybe homeowners but that seems silly when the beach is miles long to tell people not to sit in front of a private residence- there's clearly room for everyone.

Great Family Getaway

My family (6 adults) had a great stay here. Close drive, walk, or bike ride to the beach. The bikes provided were a nice bonus. Beautiful area and close to other Michigan beach towns too!

Nice visit

Nice place to stay, I was a bit confused by the way they advertised the unit. It appears you get a large type house, but once you read on, you get half the house. Overall a nice visit, some issues with electricity in the unit, which was a bit frustrating

Lovely Duplex Block Away from the Beach

We really enjoyed this property. We'd love to rent the whole house next time with a couple other families. Everything we needed other than beach towels, and food was there for us. Beds were very comfortable too! Property was very clean. Loved that they had thought of details like beach toys, beach chairs, bikes and scooters. They had more there than we needed or expected. which was lovely.

Great vacation spot!

The Haven Hideway was a perfect place for my friends and I to gather for a much needed reunion. The house is very comfortable, has everything you would need as well as additional thoughtful touches like bikes and beach gear. We loved the screened in porch!

Disappointed in the quality of this rental.

Disappointed in quality of this rental. There was a very strong musty odor. There were dead bugs on floor under cabinets in kitchen and a live spider and web in kitchen cabinets. There were bugs in the bathtub. There were no towels and washcloths in the unit. Had to igure out who to call and when I asked for the towels, the person I spoke with wanted me to wait until the next day before bringing the towels. I told her that would not be ok, and that she needed to bring them as soon as possible that night! Instructions for check-out procedures were very limited!
