We had such a wonderful stay at the Boho Chateau. We had 6 adults and 4 children (all extended family) staying there for a full week, so a comfortable and accommodating house was very important to us. And this house was everything we hoped it would be and more! The primary suite was wonderful for my parents, and the private basement area was great for the more introverted family members who wanted their own space. There were also little touches that made it more comfortable like blackout shades in some of the bedrooms, very large closets, lots of books and toys for the kids, beach chairs and umbrellas, construction vehicles, etc. It was also very quiet at night if people had to get up to use the restroom, etc.
The biggest disappointment was yard construction next door which made the promised "lake views" and porch time less desirable. We had to look at a port-a-potty instead of the lake, and the noise went on about 8 hours a day. My dad spent a lot of time on the porch and that was disappointing. If you are booking later in the summer, it should be okay, but it was a bummer for us in mid-June.
Also, it's definitely "bare bones" in terms of what the property provides. So we ended up buying things like trash bags, paper towels, kitchen towels, beach towels, etc. Nothing that was promised in the listing was missing but sometimes you get more in rentals.
As far as cleanliness, it could use a carpet cleaning, and there was some hair in the bathrooms. But mostly very clean.
