Very cute house, would stay again. The only thing is that there is no cell service at the house but WiFi works great. Loved how close to the beach it is.

We loved the location, the beautiful view, and the quaint décor of the property — it really had a lot of charm. However, we had several serious concerns during our stay. There appeared to be smoke or fire damage throughout the house, with visible discoloration on the walls. Several electrical outlets were sparking when used, which felt unsafe. Additionally, the bathtub was not clean, and the blanket left on the couch had a strong odor of body odor. With proper cleaning, maintenance, and attention to these safety issues, this could be a a wonderful place.

The property is very cozy, it felt like staying at home. It had amazing views out the living and bedroom. It was equipped with all we needed for the stay. The only negative aspect I saw were the bathroom mini blinds were covered with dust. There were also some drywall patches visible inside the bathroom and painted over as it they were in a rush. It is not a deal breaker for me but I wanted to be honest about my review.I recommend replacing the tub as it is not safe to go in or about of it, it can lead to a fall, specially if you are old and/or have issues climbing over things easily. I almost slipped myself when exiting the tub.Overall, Highly recommended it! It serves us well and we would stay here again if we ever fin ourselves in Oregon.

Great little home for a long weekend. Relatively well stocked as far as kitchen gear and close to stores. Perhaps a little grimey due to some smoke damage (I'm guessing from the pre-insert fireplace) but the furniture, sheets, towels, etc. were all very clean!! Just the walls a bit stained is all. Nice to have a beach access trail (a little dicey after a hard rain but otherwise easy!!). Our pup loved laying out on the wee porch and sunbathing after running on the beach!!

This was a cute little cottage with a semi-obstructed ocean view. We loved that we could hear the ocean from the deck but were very disappointed there were not screens on the doors so we could listen to the ocean sounds while inside the home. While it is a small home with maximum 3 guests allowed the parking situation was challenging. We were only allowed one vehicle, we had 2, and it required several turns in order to make it into the assigned driveway. The driveway is long and narrow and perpendicular to the roadway with a fence along one side and the house on the other. The home currently has an electric fireplace but previously had a wood burning stove. As a result the house has sustained significant interior smoke damage visible in every part of the home. The smoke damage is removable with water and a cloth but this has not been done. Additionally, there are several areas of damage to the walls, some needing repair while others simply need repainted. The entire home could use a few bits of maintenance, a fresh coat of paint and someone to care for it. That being said, we enjoyed our walk to the secluded beach down the private beach access stairs. We also found the neighbors to be quite friendly. We would not stay here again for the reasons listed. The company was notified and plans to correct these issues.

Simple reprieve by the ocean

This was a sweet last minute getaway for my little one and I to spend some quality time together. The price was feasible and the location convenient. Water pressure and heat were absolutely glorious and the bed so comfortable. I would love to stay here again, my only complaint would be the soot stains all over the walls and ceiling. Especially after a hot shower or bath, it really brought out the smell of smoke in the bathroom. Yes, it's close to the highway but once you're inside you can't hear it at all and the walk to the beach was quite short and fun. The place was equipped with just what we needed to enjoy some quality time together away from our busy lives. Can't wait to stay here again after it's been repainted!

This is a charming little cabin in a very quiet location even though it's only a block or so off the highway south of Newport. It's clean, nicely furnished, and very comfortable for two people. We really liked the deck with the view of the ocean around and through the neighbor's house (lots of windows) between the cabin and the beach. There is access to the beach, if a little roundabout, and while it's a bit intimidating, it's reasonably sturdy if you just take your time. And it's worth it - the beach is beautiful! The only suggestions I have are to replace the washcloths that are unraveling on the edges and, if the renter is not bringing a dog, please use non-stained sheets on the bed. The fitted sheet was clean, but had a couple of stains on it that I wouldn't use for company in my own house. Overall, this cabin is a find and we'll definitely keep it on the list for a future visit! It was a great King Tide getaway!

Jankiest Place We Ever Stayed!

Lots of things that didn't work or were broken. Patches all over the walls where they put putty in holes. Pots and pans were so bad - old & nonstick material half off. Silverware was a pile of nonmatching thin thin steel. Gross curtain barely covered under the sink where they left raid & ant killer (don't bring young children) Thin drapes made it hard to sleep with neighbors front lights on. Front lock was the worst - had to struggle constantly to get it to open. Don't bring a pet - no place for them to go since it's basically a driveway and a house away from the 101. Worse thing is that Vacaca has no customer service. You call them and they defer to "local staff" and say they will get back to us after local staff responds. First time, half a day passed before they got back to us and said local staff would come out and put away the poisons and take away the wobbly cheap lamps. We declined because really, we were there to relax and it was raining so were not going to be out of the house for someone to be coming in. They shouldn't rent places like this. Second time, I contact them because there was no stopper for the bathtub. Jeanne from local staff texted that they would be out tomorrow. I texted back, "We are leaving tomorrow!". Jeanne never responded. So, I had to bring it up with main "customer service" line who said they would look into and never got back to me. Why exactly do they have such high host fees compared to others? Beware of Vacaca rentals!!!
