Our host was great! The place was cozy and had plenty of beds. Our only issue was that it was 10 degrees when we arrived with a -14 degree windchill so we were freezing! lol The house warmed pretty quickly especially the downstairs. There was one room where the heat was finicky through the night so the room was warm cold wrm cold but that could have been the extreme cold temps that night (this was the room on the main level adjacent to the back door). In the same room the water in the bathroom attached was cold hot cold hot which made for a crazy shower. But this didn't occur in other bathrooms. Again with the extreme weather conditions who knows the cause. Overall it was a great stay.Thank you so much for the hospitality!

The house was very clean. There was some maintenance issues which they are attending to and noisy squirrels kept a couple of people up.We asked for some more towels and wash cloths which the cleaning person eventually brought. The original ad mentioned a hot tub but there was none, not that we would have used it since it was 39 degrees the first night. 8 of us stayed, all 60. Spiral steps to loft and bottom level is not older people friendly. The fire place in house was electric, gas outside. Kitchen was well stocked. No keurig but we all drink pot coffee. The morning and sunset view from deck was beautiful and we saw deer every day. The Village at Snow Shoe was 1/4 mile or less up the mountain. It was summer so only a few shops and one restaurant and a couple of pizza places was open. A WV almost heaven swing is behind the village at one of the ski lifts. Because of the maintenance and squirrel issue the owners refunded our money back. That was totally their idea, which we did not ask for since we stayed there for our entire time. I talked to owners and they were very pleasant and appreciative on advice. There is a gas station, and Dollar General at base of mountain on Rt 66 and Cass is a 20 min drive the other way off of Snow Shoe.

Great house with an amazing view to wake up to every morning. Host was very responsive to questions. Very close to the village. We were here in the summer, but lots of nearby lifts. Nice place to stay!

Amazing West Virginia Sunsets

This place is amazing and close to the lifts, which is awesome for any mountain biker or skier. We had a wonderful stay and the property manager was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. If your looking for a great place to stay in snowshoe this is it.

Nice but...

Nice location and the accommodations were as expected... several issues didn't make for a higher rating; fireplace, grill and Keurig coffee maker did not work. Otherwise, all other things were okay.

Snowshoe Paradise

We really enjoyed the location, the layout, and the number of people the property sleeps. The view is gorgeous and the host was on point with any needs or questions we had regarding our reservation. Definitely recommend checking out this property if you are traveling to the SnowShoe, WV area.

Mountain getaway

House is in a great location at the top of the slopes, maybe a 5 min walk(if that) from the front side, less to get to the back side. House had a great area in the basement for our skiing equipment, had plenty of beds and was a short walk to the village. Great communication with the property owner.

Sunset View

When we arrived the house was still being cleaned, but she was very helpful and took care of everything before she left including lighting the fireplace and removing outside garbage. We had a gorgeous view that evening, and every night we were there. This was a family trip, and the evening views from the deck were a highlight. Our hosts were very gracious answering questions and sending additional towels. The staircase is a little tricky for children, and the layout is a little quirky, but the equipment room was probably the best we’ve had staying at snowshoe for skis, boots, etc. The kitchen was also well equipped with everything we needed. Overall a great family trip.

Big family trip on a cold weekend!

We had a great family stay despite the -20 windchill at Snowshoe Resort. The hosts were responsive and helped us resolve some minor weather related disruptions. We found the location clean and as advertised which was welcome. The house was just off the Cupp Run trail which wasn't a problem for experienced skiers, but our new kid skiers were a year removed from making this a true ski-in, ski-out. Fantastic views off the deck and quality family time were had by all.

Will not repeat

This property did not look that small in small the pictures but you could tell some of the rooms were a little small. Once we arrived at the location and went inside, the rooms were even smaller than in the pictures and and it appears the owners have just thrown beds in closets and call it a room to mark down on the listing. Going through the house on arrival there were a lot of outlets that were worn out and barely anything stays plugged in (so loose it jut falls out) so you couldn't charge anything at night in your room. There were also multiple burnt out light bulbs which is a problem when checking in after 4 PM in the winter. I also had older relatives that have a hard time getting up and down stairs and the house has a VERY tight spiral staircase in the center which the rail broke and almost caused someone to fall. Also when unpacking things into the house the walkways were almost completely frozen over and the parking spots in front of the house had huge snow mounds that needed to be shoveled before pulling up. One of the biggest factors of a non return is that the transit does not come down that road. I even called for a short bus and they told me they do not pick up down there and I would have to walk up the hill to Western for a ride. This is problematic for elderly people. This place is NOT kid friendly ether. The metal spiral staircase could easily have small dogs or children slip through the spindles and fall as well as clumps of hair nder the couches.

Disappointed

I have a recap of concerns/issues we had with the property and once I contacted VRBO and was connected with the owner he was unconcerned with my comments and was very condescending- not a great experience for the money we paid for this rental.
