"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. "Great location in the centre of Hawes. Lovely little cottage, comfortable rooms not huge but it is a quirky cottage. Be sure you can handle stairs! Everything you needed for a great stay. Chippie across the road, Cafe's & pubs 5 minute walk. Bus stops outside to train station at Garsdale and Leyburn for onward Bus to Blacksheep brewery. Dog friendly walks all around. Just a great place we had a lovely time."

"Nicely renovated to a high standard. All the mod cons Well equipped kitchen and it was great having a washer/dryer. Great location to base yourself in the Lake District. Tasha the host replied very quickly with my questions. There is a TV in every room. They even have Alexa.I wouldn't recommend this place if you have mobility issues. "Had the most loveliest break away with the family. This was our third visit to barneys cottage and every time has been perfect. Our dogs loved the local walks seeing all the animals, the hot tub was a treat to come back to after a day of hiking and Kevin is always welcoming and accommodating. The cottage is cosy & peaceful and clean. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we visit the lakes with our pups. Already looking forward to booking our next visit! "
