"This is a Hotel from the early 20th century. It has wonderful character. It doesn't have AC but does not really need it due to being up in the mountains at about 3500 ft. a room fan and open window was more than adequate. We had small issue with a smoke detector battery getting low and the detector started chirping at 4 in the moring. They don't have over night staff so it was fixed in the morning while we were out and fixed by noon. They do have a weekend breakfast that was very good. ...

"The room was very clean which is very important to me. The Staff, Husband and wife were very friendly. Each room has a place to park your car, and there are chairs outside your room to sit in which is nice. This was a short weekend trip for us, but I would definitely feel comfortable staying longer. "The staff was the best: so nice and helpful. Best relation between quality and price. The rooms are big, clean, with fridge, caffee and microwave. Placed near restaurants and place for live concerts (Valley Tavern). It has a complementary breakfast which is also nice (yogurt, caffee, tea, sweet things, juice).
I'll definitely repeat if I'll come back to the south part of the Smoky Mountains and Appalachian reserve."
