"We truly had an amazing stay at Balmers Lawn! We got a really good deal for Easter weekend, and it exceeded expectations on every level. The room was only classified as "standard" yet it was huge, lovely big bathroom, and they had put Easter Craft in the room for the kids. Kids can use the swimming pool in the morning and evening, and we had it to ourselves each morning we went! "We visited the Chilworth Manor Hotel for our mini moon after we got married. The receptionist was very rude and abrupt when we arrived to pay before our wedding (before we got married) and made us feel unwelcome from the get go. We had booked an executive room which isn’t the cheapest room in the property and we were placed in a dark and dingy room with dark patches and holes on the netted curtain (room 6) clearly not the mini moon we expected however as we arrived at 1 am we were unable to...

"Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know"
Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress."

"Comfortable room and stay. Leisure facilitates were good. Great sized pool. Main house was beautiful and staff helpful.
There appeared to be a lack of signage where the reception was etc.
Breakfast was amazing and good value."

"Nice hotel with friendly staff. Food amazing and reasonably priced. They allow dogs to stay which is a little annoying especially when guests leave the dogs to bark in room!"
