Prior to check in was called three times to input driver’s license and sign an online form. Did so, then got to the cabin. Main couch in living area was covered with a blanket because faux leather was peeling from it’s ancient surfaces which covered a severely distorted sleeper frame. Our five year old couldn’t even tolerate the couch. So the main living area was a place our family could not gather in. Trees closely surround the cabin and there is no view to speak of. Photos showed a foosball table, hot tub, and looked very promising. But when we arrived, noted foosball table was broken in multiple places and duct taped together - rendering it un-usable. Hot tub smelled bad and there was no way any of us would step in. There was no mention of Bear precautions in the cabin, but the next door neighbor warned us that bears found the front porch of the cabin we rented a favorite location. The next morning, the empty, heavy garbage can which was secured to the front porch was overturned. Called the office multiple times and was sent straight to voicemail. Also called the number listed for “If you need any help..” And the woman who answered was immediately defensive and said, “I only clean the place, you have to call the office, but they don’t usually respond. Send them an email if they don’t call you back in an hour.” No one returned our emails or phone calls. We had booked four nights, only stayed the first night because we arrived too late and were too exhausted to secure other accommodations.
There are many great cabins in the Smoky Mountains. This was not one of them. Avoid this cabin and company. We are disputing charges. This was an extremely disappointing experience.
