"Daisybank cottage is a must for anyone looking to stay in the New Forest. The room was perfect - spacious, spotless and huge fluffy towels in the bathroom. Lovely touches in the room and so thoughtful. Great breakfast and friendly welcome. Its perfect for various walks without the car to get to start points, and close to pubs and eateries nearby. "We booked the room thinking we had access to the spa as all photos showed it, but when we got there we didn’t have access to most spa areas, which were a premium service on top of the room cost (over £250/night). The room was spacious but it’s old fashioned and didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. Disappointing."

"We truly had an amazing stay at Balmers Lawn! We got a really good deal for Easter weekend, and it exceeded expectations on every level. The room was only classified as "standard" yet it was huge, lovely big bathroom, and they had put Easter Craft in the room for the kids. Kids can use the swimming pool in the morning and evening, and we had it to ourselves each morning we went! "A nice room if a little on the small side. Lovely staff. The one drawback here is the food. Very expensive and slightly below ‘adequate’. As an example a meat sharing plate was £48 but had a couple of normal sausages, 2 eggs, small bit of chicken and 3 tiny steak chunks. So disappointed by the food that we cancelled our dinner reservation. If you are staying just for the rooms though they a good location. "
