Track Meet Retreat

Brought are kids to the area for the state track meet and this was super close and a great place to wind down and refresh

Great getaway!

The property was perfect for the four of us. We were looking for a great spot to relax and we found it! The house was very clean and it had a nice layout that gave a great view of the river from the kitchen, dining room and living room. We had fun playing cornhole. John was a great host and responed quikly to any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again!John room wherecfpe. I loved

Lacking communication

The location and house was good. The communication with the property management company was terrible. We had an issue with a water outage. It was outside of their control which I totally get. They promised us updates and we were left in the dark for what we felt like was a critical matter given water is an essential need to use toilets, wash hands, use showers, take medication and so on. We had to continue to call to get updates on the matter to find out 12 hours later it was an outage in the area. Again, I know it was outside of their control but being left in the dark and having no one to really keep us updated on information they were working on getting felt like terrible customer service. Just hope you don’t have an issue with your stay and otherwise it is great.

Uninvited crawling guests.

This place was absolutely disgusting. There were weird stains everywhere, multiple roaches, a weird smell. Just poor cleanliness. It was much smaller than the pictures. I didn’t even want to sleep there honestly. We counted 6-8 huge roaches within the 2 nights of us staying there.

The river is too low to swim or boat

House was beautiful with lots of amenities for families to enjoy their stay. The yard is great for family get together with tons of various seating options. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for a great stay. There is a railroad track across the street but we never heard the trains while inside the house. There are also 2 entrances to the road so we found that if one was blocked by a train, we could drive around to the other entrance and it was clear (a 2 min drive so not inconvenient at all). If your goal is to swim or tube in the river, this is not the house for you. Cozy attempted to blame the drought on the extremely low water levels but the neighbors told us that the damn on the lake is broken and will not be fixed for over a year (we not confirm this date so you may want to check). We noticed other rivers in the area were still tubable with the drought. The water at the house was too low for our kids to even get in and out of the water which was unfortunate because this is the sole reason we booked the house. If the property company had notified us of this prior to arrival, we would have opted to find other accommodations for our stay.

Family Summer Trip

We enjoyed the property as it was on the river. Although the river was low, we enjoyed it and the view from the different levels of the property. Wish there was water toys to enjoy while there. The kitchen needs a knife sharpener as the knives were very dull and we cooked instead of eating out. Also all the outside furniture was very dirty with a huge film of dust. We had to wipe it all down several times. But overall we did enjoy our stay.

wonderful trip

The house was even better than the pictures! Very modern and beautiful. The outdoor space was impressive and perfect for entertaining- our favorite part of the house for sure! Entrance into the river was inconvenient, but we were still able to enjoy the view even without getting in. The bedrooms were spacious and had lots of room for sleeping. The pull-out couch was great for movie night! It was not listed on the website so we were surprised to find it. The location of the house was not the best. We were not able to access the house for over an hour due to being stuck behind a train. The sounds and lights of said train kept us up, but it was bearable. Overall, very nice property. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
