Desert garden apartment in Sedona is in a perfect location with easy access to restaurants, stores and hikes including Doe Mountain and the Long Canyon Trail. The apartment is clean, spacious and has a nice outdoor space to relax. The washer/dryer is a bonus and laundry detergent was stocked. This apartment is on the bottom floor with a second unit above. If you are a light sleeper, you may hear people walking around above you. We also could not find a thermostat in our unit; this may be controlled by those upstairs. We had an issue and the host was timely with her response, but not in a satisfactory manner. The renter that was arriving AFTER us got confused and unlocked the door to our unit using the keypad 3 days early. Thankfully, we were in the unit when this happened. He immediately left after realizing his mistake. I reached out to the host about changing the code on the electronic key pad to ensure that he did not have access to the unit before we left. The host agreed that this was unsettling, but that there was no way to change the code. She offered to prorate our stay, but we did not want to leave and try to find a new place that day. When I said that I would move the couch in front of the door to secure it before we went to sleep, her response was "sounds good". The way this was handled was not what I have come to expect from VRBO properties. I genuinely believe this was a fluke situation, but i am questioning the process of providing check in codes 3 days ear
