Well positioned cottage.

Cottage was charming and as described and perfect for what we needed. Owner had left a Christmas tree out so that was appreciated. Parking space a little tight (we had a Small van) - but no problems parking elsewhere. A friendly criticism - 9am (Covid restrictions or not) is not a reasonable time to expect people to check out. 10 is minimum/standard.

Sunbeam Cottage

We stayed at the cottage for a week in August. We liked the area, Branscombe beach is about 15 minutes away. It’s a large avid quiet beach with a good cafe. The local pub was also good. The property was pleasant but I felt it could do with a little TLC. The decor upstairs seems very dated and my youngest child described the smallest bedroom were he slept as creepy. ( I didn’t tell him at the time but I understood what he meant).

Fabulous location

Sunbeam cottage is in a wonderful location for the beautiful Branscombe beach and village. Due to covid alot of the ornaments, cushions , books & games had been removed. We were told this ahead of our stay. This did make the lounge look bear and tired, but comfortable. The double bedrooms have very comfortable mattresses but my daughter said the single she had was a bit hard. The bedding is lovely. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed, containing all you need . The outdoor space is not like the posted photos as the conifer high hedge to the front has been removed and replanted with new small saplings which leaves it open and not at all private. The back garden is overgrown but has a wonderful high large patio where you can catch the morning sun. This isn't listed in the description so we found it a wonderful added bonus. The windows did need a clean and the lounge could do with a bit of TLC to remove small wisteria shoots and a general freshen up but this cottage is a good place for a holiday stay.

Christmas at Sunbeam cottage

A really lovely stay. The location of the cottage was perfect and I really appreciated the Christmas tree, mince pies, cake and tinsel. I had been worried about cooking a Christmas dinner there but there was everything there that we needed in terms of utensils, roasting tins and serving dishes. A really memorable Christmas!

Very happy with this beautiful cottage

As soon as we walked in , sunbeam cottage felt very homely . It was immaculately clean and really beautiful inside and out. A real cosy feel in the evening , spacious and bright during the day. It was equipped with everything you could want for a self catering holiday. We would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends and we hope to visit ourselves again in the future.

Perfect stay!

The cottage is in a picturesque village right near the sea. It is well appointed and clean. We had a wonderful holiday with amazing weather. We loved walking the coast path, visiting the church, and eating at the Masons Arms.

Great stay during Christmas and New Year's

We had an incredible stay at Sunbeam Cottage this Christmas season! It's a wonderful cosy cottage, extremely well decorated and equipped and both the owner and the staff were most welcoming and attentive to our needs. We even had a huge Christmas tree, a Christmas cake and a champagne bottle to welcome us! We vividly recomend it and we hope to return during the summer when we´ll be able to fully enjoy the amazing front and back gardens we really didn´t use because of the cold
