We visited Northwinds for October half-term with our Daughter, Son-in-Law and three Grandsons. It's a warm house and the rooms are very spacious with two good sized lounges and a large table in the dining room with that fitted all seven of us including our two teenage grandsons. Although there is only one bathroom (which may prove a problem for 'mixed' families) there is an additional toilet and a small vanity basin in the double bedroom, so we managed fine.
The best thing by far about Northwinds is it's location and it's lovely views. Five minutes walk to St Aidens bay (fabulous walks along the beach) and 15 minutes walk into Seahouses with its good selection of shops and places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bamburgh Inn for an excellent pub meal and the Neptune for delicious fish and chips.
