Historic Dignity

This was just as advertised; a well kept house with charm and beautiful appointments. Hard to believe it is 150ish years old, as it is in pristine condition. A true value for the money.

Spring Break Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Parsonage at Forsyth! With a family of 5, this property gave us a great balance of being together on vacation yet able to spread out and relax. With appliances and kitchen utensils that we needed for basic meals included, we were able to cook breakfast each morning before heading out for the day. The outdoor sitting area was nice, especially in April. A little farther from “downtown” than I had hoped in order to walk to attractions, but that was my error. It was very close to Forsyth Park which is always pleasant to walk through and spend some time.

Loved it!

Clean, comfortable and convenient property with limited supplies

The house itself was the perfect size for my sisters and I for a sisters' weekend. There are three bedrooms. There is only one full bath on the upper floor; the other full bath is downstairs behind the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay but found that the supplies provided (shampoo, conditioner, soap, detergent) were much sparser than in other vacation rentals we have stayed in. There are also no storage containers for leftover food or other staples like salt. So if you stay here you will need to provide just about everything you need for yourself. All in all a good stay, but not the best we've had.

Home Away from Home

Absolutely lovely house with 2.5 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, dining area, kitchen, living room area, beautiful courtyard with bistro tables and chairs. I also spent quite some time on the porch, just checking out life in Savannah. The property is close to Forsyth Park and around the corner is a cute diner. Kroger is a 4 minute drive and they have Starbucks. I couldn't have asked for a better stay - thank you!

We enjoyed our visit to Savannah and loved having comfortable beds to sleep in. The smallest bedroom didn’t have blinds to block out the morning light like the other rooms, luckily we had a light travel blanket we were able to hang. When the living room tv wasn’t able to log in to Roku, the management team responded quickly and logged into it while we were out. The small courtyard was the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine in the evenings. Although the house is one block from a busier street, the noise level was minimal. It was a quick 5 min walk to a great breakfast place, The Sentient Bean.

Affordable Property Steps from Forsyth

Great property that was steps from Forsyth Park. Perfect location for a family get-away in Savannah that is within walking distance of everything in town. Great set-up and the off-street parking was a plus. The kitchen could have used a few more amenities and live tv would have been nice to watch football, but other than that the property had everything you need.

Weekend Stay With Friends

Overall a good property for two couples. Both bedrooms upstairs were large and very comfortable. Having only one full bath upstairs to service all bedrooms (the other full bath was downstairs) was a little inconvenient. Great location very close to Forsyth Park. Property is looking a little “tired” with the living room furniture well worn and a missing mirror in the full bath downstairs (screw hole in the wall). Plaque on the house suggests the house was built in 1888 so we weren’t expecting “modern” but property could use some freshening up (mostly furniture).

Entry Access Instructions

Beautiful house, just as described, wonderful neighborhood & still close to attractions. The entry instructions were confusing. Access code box was located on left of door, not right. Key box was very difficult to open after putting in code. Door would not open, swollen, maybe from humidity? Back door was easy open & that's the one we used. Never did get the front door to open. All in all-wonderful place. loved the small courtyard on the side with the fountain. Would stay there again.

Fun Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The only downfalls were that the front doorknob is broken, there was no drain stopper in the kitchen in order to wash dishes, and the dish soap was poor. No suds. We loved how spacious it was. It was close enough to the downtown area that we were aboto walk to site see.

Wonderful vintage house, nice location

We were very impressed with the house, as the rooms were spacious, well furnished and the kitchen and bathrooms very comfortable and practical. The communication with Southern Belle was immediate and effective and they sent workers over to remedy any problems we had. The house is a close distance to Savannah’s Squares and attractions.
