Beautiful Quaint Home

Lovely, quaint home that was beautifully decorated. Large enough to accommodate my family. Close to downtown and the beach. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions we had regarding the house. I would recommend this property for a family traveling to Savannah.

Needs work/over priced.

House still needs a lot of work. It wasn’t dirty but you could tell it still needs a lot of work. Really not worth as much as it’s listed for to rent. Can only have 2 cars parked there when it sleeps 15. Location is good to most things if you don’t mind a flipped house that’s half done.

This house should not be listed on Vrbo. We arrived later in the day due to traveling long distance. The lock code didn’t work. We were able to get someone on the phone to assist. However, when we opened the door, there were dirty towels in the floors, mold in the house. It smelled of mold bad. The curtains in the kitchen were mildewed. Beds were unmade , like someone was sleeping there. There was sewage in the floor, and the tub was filthy with old back up. It was very disgusting. Due to late arrival we had to stay overnight. We left out for the day, when we came back to get our things there were men there taking the front door off for repairs with our things inside. We got our things out and left. This was a horrible experience. 1/10 . The 1 is only because they gave a full refund. Which was deserved, but this property should not be listed.

ROACHES / Black Mold

RUN, as fast as you can, all PATRIOT FAMILY HOMES are not taken care of, and all have black mold in them. They are all dusty and dirty and the pool was green with a dead lizard. The relocation home was barely step up from the roaches. RUN AWAY FROM PATRIOT FAMILY HOMES

The advertised property stated it could accommodate up to 15 people, however upon arrival we found the kitchen was inadequately stocked with limited tools and utensils. Despite being a girl scout group we managed to adapt. Furthermore, we were only provided with 2 trash bags and the trash bins were already full when we arrived. You'll need laundry detergent and cleaning supplies for there isn't any but two packs of laundry detergent. Our accommodation's facilities were compromised, with a non-functioning oven and damage to the refrigerator and toilet seat. Some of the beds are busted! Despite prompt reporting, the issues remainedunresolved, and no action was taken to address them. Regrettably, this was a Girl Scout trip, and the final day's activities were severely impacted by these issues. Although Casago Savannah offered a 30% discount and late checkout, we were later informed that this was not valid due to a prior booking. Even though I had confirmation that our checkout was the 19th at 10:00 a.m. After much chaos, We were relocated to another accommodation at a significant distance from our preferred location. The management's communication was inadequate, with a lack of clear updates and tangible solutions. This experience has diminished our confidence in Casago Savannah's management due to their apparent disorganization and communication. The photos look nothing like what you're getting! I do not recommend! We didn't ask for any kind of refund. We so do not recommend!

Labor Day Weekend

The house is as advertised. We arrived a day after Hurricane Idalia and thankfully were not effected by its passing. The king bedroom on the first floor is pretty spacious, with a beautiful claw tub. The bunk room on the 2nd Floor was bigger than expected. And the two queen rooms were suitable, with enough space just not as roomy as the other two rooms. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were GREAT for hosting a large get together. * not related to the property, my keys were lost the day I was supposed to depart. I reached out to the owner who was incredibly kind and understanding. They allowed my vehicle to stay on the property until I could get a replacement that afternoon and didn’t charge me any additional fees * The price range is appropriate. If you would rather not spend 3k on a flat in downtown Savannah for a weekend, then this home is ideal.

Not as advertised

Property was quite dirty and not as shown on photos. Several kitchen cabinets didn't close properly or had knobs which were loose. Upstairs shower did not turn on so was not usable. Mousetraps set in garage alongside trays of what I assumed was rat poison; this was supposed to be a child and pet friendly property. Photos on site obviously old. Called and emailed Patriot on Friday afternoon (first day there) and got an email the next afternoon offering to send out a repairman that night. That was our last night anyway so I passed. Would not recommend!

Run DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Before staying here I reached out to Patriots and asked if the last review had they fixed the things they assured me that they had so I booked. Well it was a LIE the home has black mold in the vents which I have pictures of. Black mold in the garage on the walls and on the doors. None of the outside light works had to purchase light bulbs for them. I have taken sick because I am allergic to mold ended up in the hospital for 2 days neither the homeowners or vrbo has returned my calls or messages since I sent over the pictures and video of the mold. All I asked for was my money back but since we are playing this game I need my medical bills paid for as well, compensation for missing work and I will be going to the better business bureau this is not right and straight INHUMANE. I am on excessive amount of steroids and all they could do is ignore me. If anyone knows of a good lawyer please let me know. DO NOT RENT!!!!

Disappointing.

Arrived for a family get together and Although this house is of good size, and great location; it needs a lot of work. Outside of the house was filthy, yard Maintence was being done after we checked in, driveway was in terrible shape and flooded. Most of the outlets were of safety concern, plugs falling out of wall, not working. Cabinets wouldn’t close properly, and the one kitchen linen available smelled like mildew. The door to downstairs bedroom was broken, as if someone had punched it. Garage with ping pong table was dirty, full of junk and had a pile of previous guests linens on the ground. Door to outside from garage was rotted, falling apart and we did see roaches inside. Canopy to patio furniture was in the yard, and broken. House was dusty, grimy and just seemed like owners did not care about cleanliness overall. Mattresses seems old, and we’re incredibly uncomfortable. House smelled clean upon arrival, the checkin and out process was simple but for what amenities are offered this house is extremely overpriced and disappointing. Would not recommend.

Disappointed

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay. The home was in a state of disrepair between the floorboards coming up, trim and tiles coming out, and holes in the walls. The home was very dirty (I have many photos) with other people’s hair and gunk through out . Within 10 minutes of taking our shoes off our feet were black from the floors. The pool was dirty upon arrival, and someone was sent to shock and clean the pool on the 2nd day. After the cleaning the house pool had gone completely green and nasty for the remainder of the stay. But possibly the biggest let down was the original post included the garage, which is where laundry and the ping pong table were located had been locked. When we contacted Patriot Homes we were told it had never been available and we had imagined seeing it. It was confirmed later that week by the pool employee that is was included in the home until recently. It had been locked because of a complaint involving the back door. My 79 year old mother also fell on the front stairs as there is no hand railing. She had to try holding onto the brushes branches to stable herself to leave or enter the home. Many of the light bulbs were out and the several outlets looked burned and questionable. We tried not to use them. The home did maintain air conditioning throughout our stay and was located nicely between Tybee and downtown Savannah.

Horrible Stay and Communication with Property Management

This stay was an absolute nightmare. When we arrived at the home and entered the gate to go through the backyard, we noticed the pool was unusable. It was green, algae was growing, and there was something at the bottom of the pool. We called the property to let them know and asked to send someone out. When we entered the home, it was not clean. There were crumbs, dead bugs by the door, and utensils were left out. We asked why they did not communicate the issue of the pool prior to our arrival and they stated it was the first they heard about it. The review listed before this one was posted during our stay. That review states the same issues including the pool so the property group did know. Later on, one of the guests had water drip on them while getting ready in the upstairs bathroom. When we looked up the vent was covered in black mold. Past reviews have also complained of this issue. At this point, we contacted Vrbo as we did not want to stay at the house. They said they could not move us. We called PFH back later to let them know they only had 7 towels for our 10 guests. There were several calls, texts, app messages, and emails exchanged during the stay. They offered 30% of stay for lack of amenities. The contract did not reflect that. No one was sent for the pool. People came out for 20 min to clean around vent. Never signed contract but they did issue about 20% of PFH cost back. Initial contact stated if signed, we would have to leave no less than a 5/5 review.

Failure to Communicate with a touch of uncleanliness.

To start with, I had to email the company day of to get the address and check in information as apparently the automated email did not send as the listing says 7 days prior. Once I got to the house, the back french doors were unlocked, the back garage door was wide open and various windows on the ground floor were unlocked. This was cause for concern as I was unsure if there was someone still occupying the residence -whether by permission or not. After checking the house, I noticed the wifi was not working. I looked over that house from top to bottom to try and reset the modem/router. When more of my family arrived, I let them know that we needed to find the modem/router to reset it. We still could not find it. While looking for the modem/router I looked down into the gap behind the couch and saw nothing but filth to include multiple empty water bottles. Also, throughout the house various light fixtures are missing working light bulbs. For example, the light over the table has 4 spots for bulbs a d only 1 was working. There were also missing bulbs from outside the house which was a security concern. The entire process of trying to get the wifi fixed so those that needed to work remotely and do schoolwork remotely was an ordeal that was never solved. There were many communications issues. Even after checkout I am having to continue to deal with the communication failures as now they are not wanting to honor a minuscule discount that was offered.

The house is older and could use some updating. But the biggest issues were that the house had a musty smell to it that permeated everything. Also, the hardwood floors were not clean. Walking on them for a short time with white socks would show exactly how dirty they were. The bathrooms were very small and while manageable were not luxurious. The location to Savannah and Tybee Island was very good and the neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe.
