Beautiful place yet just doesn’t work as a vacation home without a kitchen!
I’m torn to give the review as 3 stars as the place is actually beautiful and having 5 en-suite bathrooms was super convenient for our big family. However (and my fault for not reading the description carefully as we were booking the day before as our plans got changed by the hurricane), not having a kitchen or living room was very inconvenient, we were actually expecting to have a kitchen (and at least a place to gather together). So, this place would only work for people that absolutely do not want to mingle together or sit down to have a snack at the vacation home.
On top of that, there were a few issues that made it just a little more intolerable. I tried to contact Vacasa the minute we got there but didn’t get a response until the following day. So, I had to figure out through reading the review from 2 years ago about where to find the thermostat! It was 78 degrees inside the house, the windows are painted shut and there are no fans. So, to hide the thermostat behind a framed art seems ludicrous! A quick way to put your customers into a bad mood! Also, the description of the ‘kitchen’ did say to expect dishes and utensils (while there were none when we got there). Since we had food in the coolers, we had to figure out where to go get disposable dishes.
The location is good as everything is really walking distance in Savannah. The place is right outside of the area that seemed totally safe and we had a few concerns about the street in particular. We didn’t actually have any issues during our stay.
We did enjoy Savannah quite a bit so for other people this place might work.
