We requested and were charged for an early check in which we were very grateful for. However, when we arrived, the back carriage house bed was unmade and looked like someone had been sleeping in it and the trash had not been taken out.
On Friday, July 21 between the hours of 8:30pm and 1:00am, the house was broken into. The second floor balcony sliding door was open and a pillow was wedged in the door. We were VERY diligent about making sure that all doors and windows were locked when we were in the house and when we left the house.
We brought a security camera as an additional safety precaution for us ladies staying in the house which was placed in the living room on the first floor. When we went to check the camera footage to see if we saw anyone, the camera was missing. We searched everywhere for it and it is missing. We immediately called the police. The officer checked the main house, patio and carriage house. On the patio, the chairs were misplaced as if someone tried to use the chair to try to climb up to the 2nd floor balcony. After searching the rest of our belongings, we found that a ring was also missing. This morning, one of the girls also found
