Captains Cottage was the perfect weekend getaway! The host was so welcoming and ensured that we and our fur baby had everything we needed! We were only 2 blocks from River Street and within walking distance to so many wonderful shops and restaurants. This will be our go to rental moving forward any time we are in Savannah!

1,000% recommend this cute place! The host has thought of everything and it is perfectly decorated. I have never stayed in a more clean VRBO. He was very helpful when arriving making sure we were able to park and get inside with ease. I wish I could live in this place full time. It was easy for uber to find us, you can see the Pirate House Restaurant from the front door, we recommend the crab dip! We will be repeat customers. He even had coffee /creamer and sugar - now you know that was a win- win!

The host, house and vacation were excellent! The cottage is a very good size and comfortable. The neighborhood was comfortable and nice, as well. Whenever I reached out to Charles, he replied very quickly and helped in ways we didn't expect. I would highly recommend renting this cottage for your stay. Its close to everything. We walked everywhere we went. 10/10 rating easily!

The house was so clean and everything you could think of was provided for you. Street/park and pay parking was easy to use. Charlie, the owner, was great and very accommodating. Checking in and out was a breeze and he even checked in on us via text the day of our arrival. Great stay and will definitely be back!

What a wonderful house to enjoy! Located right next to one of the plazas. Close to River Street and water. Lovely home, beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds, extremely clean. Charles was very helpful with restaurants, decorations and parking. We loved staying in the historical portion of Savannah - so easy to walk around. House has everything you will need if you want to cook a meal. Parking is easy with Savannah Parking app. We would all stay here on our next trip to Savannah.

This property more than met our expectations. It is decorated so nicely, the beds were comfortable and everything was so nice and clean. Although we did not cook there the kitchen is well stocked with everything that you would need. The location was wonderful We walked around the area numerous times and the location was awesome. We would definitely recommend. You could not go wrong with this property.

WELCOMING - host and property alike!Captain’s Cottage felt like being immersed in ‘Old Savannah’ with hospitality as warm as the August weather. Charles even provided a much appreciated parking tutorial.The Cottage is perfectly clean and well equipped - both kitchen and baths. Nothing was overlooked. We could ask for absolutely nothing more!After a day exploring the city or cruising the river the Cottage was a wonderful respite from the heat. The decor is uniquely lovely and extremely comfortable.And the location is ideal for avid walkers.

Great stay! Property is clean, great location, easy walking distance to most downtown areas. Pet friendly provided us a doggie welcome kit w treats and two good sized dog crates for our dogs had plenty of space when we were not there with them. Owners were quick to reply to any questions/needs. Highly recommend if you are a small 4 or less group I need of good, clean, pet friendly accommodation in historic Savannah.

Good property, but poor management

This property was great; however, we felt as the description and property rules were not outlined beforehand. In our 3 night stay, we were called 6 times and texted by the host multiple times telling us the AC was too low and it would “freeze” being set at 66. The host also remotely raised the AC to 74 in the middle of the night causing us to wake up sweating. We are from the south also and keep our AC (that is much older and smaller) on 64-66 and have not had any issue with the AC “freezing.” Nowhere in the house rules or contract does it state the AC cannot be lowered below 70, so we felt it was inappropriate and an invasion of privacy for the host to keep remotely raising the AC. The calls and texts every day felt like borderline harassment.

The Best!!!

Our stay at the cottage was absolutely perfect. I have never stayed in a rental that was exactly as listed. It was so beautiful. Location was perfect. You can walk to almost any location in the downtown area. The cottage was so clean. I'm OCD and couldn't find any area that wasn't clean. Also, the extra little things matter. Such as supplying q-tips, makeup pad removers, more than enough towels, blow dryers, curling iron, as well as a straightener. Includes a full size washer-dryer and even supplied a few laundry pods, fabric softener. And I can't forget the frosted glasses..perfect for an ice cold adult beverage. Believe me when I say you will not regret renting from this owner. We did get to meet Charles and had a wonderful chat. Many thanks, and we will be back.
