Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was spacious and beautiful and had everything we needed. The pool was perfect and the grounds were very well maintained. Merida was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay.

Lovely house, close to ocotal beach. Beautiful yard & pool. It was hot during our stay & it was hard for the air conditioner in the living room/kitchen area to keep things cool enough for our liking but the air in all the bedrooms was excellent. Merida was extremely helpful with local shopping tips & very responsive to every inquiry. Loved the drive from Playa Coco to the house as it winds through a local village area & is extremely colorful & gives a glimpse of life for local Ticos.

What a lovely stay!!! The house was beautiful and spacious, the bedroom ACs were very comfortable, and the kitchen was everything we needed. The proximity to the beautiful black sand Playa Ocotal and a great restaurant (Father Rooster) really simplified our vacation. Would def recommend.

Wonderful villa!

This property was excellent. It has 3 nice bedrooms on 2 1/2 levels with a living room area, full kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer, a garage and even an extra sitting room downstairs. The host, Merida has the place perfectly appointed with basically anything you need for an enjoyable vacation. Little details like a coffeemaker , pool toys, etc are provided as well. Outside is a wonderful outdoor space with adjoining pools and garden areas. The place is great;! Walking distance to the beach and in a safe and quiet area. Communication with the host was easy and, again, ensured that all went perfectly for our 9 day stay. I cannot recommend this place enough and we hope to return!

Nice pool home

The home was large enough for our group of 5, with plenty of space to stretch out between activities. The pools were welcoming after a long day of hiking. The beach is just a walk away, and there are two very good restaurants within a few minutes’ drive. We were happy to have rented a 4-wheel drive as many roads are riddled with potholes, but we we planned for time to navigate the roads and has no difficulties reaching our destinations. Grateful to have experienced the Pura Vida from our villa in Ocotal.

Wonderful stay

Family of 6 stayed for 1 week in this lovely Costa Rican home. Easy to communicate with property manager. We all loved the pool, the easy walk to the beach and Father Roosters restaurant. Only wished we had rented a car so we could have explored area more. Thank you Merida for sharing your home.

Great Location

The property was very clean and had a few extra supplies in the kitchen like spices. Nice pool and easy walk to the beach and to a great restaurant. It was easy to get an Uber to Coco if you do not have a car. The host was quick to respond when we had a small issue. Also a complete outline of the ins and outs of the house and the area was sent to us ahead which was helpful.

Anniversary Trip

We spent 6 days at this house & had a great time! Good location close to Coco Beach but very quiet. 10 minute walk to beach & Father Roosters. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood & convenient to The Monkey Farm. House was very spacious, check in was easy & communication was excellent. We loved the pool!

Great place, great location!

We stayed for two weeks, and it worked out great! The house is very nice, the pool is fantastic. Each room had amazing beds and an AC, which was a huge plus for us northerners who aren't used to the humidity! The kitchen had almost everything we needed, could have used one large pan, but we made do. The beach being so close was great, we could walk right down the hill. The only thing I didn't like was the upstairs bathroom window, which the uphill neighbors can see right into while you're showering. Other than that, Merida was a great host, responded to my messages right away, and Juanita is a great housekeeper! Thank you!

AMAZING

This house was exactly what we wanted and needed for our Costa Rica adventure. We were greeted by Juanita, the housekeeper, who was just lovely and explained everything about the house. The house was perfect for our kids - 4, 11, & 14. The pools are a great depth for children with plenty of pool/beach toys, towels and there was various toys, puzzles & games for family entertainment. The cartoon channel was in English, which was helpful for our American family. There was plenty of space for an epic hide-and-seek game! Very clean, everything you needed in the kitchen was there and great location to beaches, restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend visiting the Monkey Farm that is just up the hill and is a magical experience. Merida, the owner, was great at communicating and it was a pleasure renting from her. We will most definitely book there again when we return to Costa Rica ❤️

Great stay in Ocotal

We enjoyed 3 weeks at this property and had a great time! Our goal was to immerse ourselves into the Costa Rican culture and that’s exactly what we were able to do staying here. The host Merida was great with any questions and very helpful with a list she provides on the house, the area and key contacts in the area. The location is great with Ocotal beach so close which we loved, as well as, Roosters restaurant. Downtown Coco is a short 10 min drive for everything we needed for an extended stay. We really enjoyed the house with the open floor plan and the three bedrooms were great for the family and guest we had come visit. We especially enjoyed our time in the pool relaxing and entertaining with family and friends. The house does have A/C units in all three bedrooms which are extremely comfortable to sleep in and there is one unit in the kitchen/family room. However, with the open floor plan and space, it can get warm in that area during the day and if cooking even with the unit on. Overall, I highly recommend this property if your looking to get away from a resort atmosphere and being shuttled everywhere in a group setting. Thank you for a great stay! Chuck and Kimmer

Beautiful Ocotal Home

My family of four spent five nights at this beautiful Ocotal property. The home was considerably larger than necessary for our small group, but we REALLY enjoyed having the large pool to ourselves! The home was very well-appointed with a nice kitchen, washer (no dryer, but our clothes dried quickly on the clothesline), dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and other amenities. The area was really quiet considering how close you are to the beach and some hotels. Directions to the property could have been clearer. I recommend just telling future guest to drive to Father Rooster's, and giving directions from there. It's really easy to get to from Father Rooster's, and that would have been easier to follow than the directions we received. That said, we had no problem finding the location, because the owner's brother in law met us by the entrance to the neighborhood and escorted us to the home. He also provided a warm welcome and helpful instructions for our stay. The owner was very communicative and quickly answered all the questions we had during our stay. We cannot wait to come back, and fully plan to!
