La Casita by Lina was absolutely perfect and exceeded every expectation. The one-bedroom casita is beautifully set up, with a comfortable layout, a well-sized kitchen, and a perfect bathroom. The porch quickly became our favorite spot—listening to the ocean waves and feeling the tropical breezes made every morning and evening unforgettable.Being just steps from the beach was a dream, and the outdoor shower was such a thoughtful touch for rinsing off sand after long beach days. Every detail felt intentional and designed for relaxation.Lina herself is truly what makes this place special. She is incredibly knowledgeable, so friendly, and always had answers to our questions, helping make our first trip to Costa Rica seamless and stress-free. She even arranged beachside massages for us, which were absolutely heavenly and one of the highlights of our stay.If you’re looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway in Playa Hermosa with an amazing host who genuinely cares about her guests, this is the place. The location is amazing and we like the quiet comfort of the lazy beach. The coffee provided was great and the host provides great tips both via message and also the check in/out book provided. The restaurants up and down the beach are great and the nearby mini supermarkets have things to make the stay pleasant. We would definitely stay again (this is our second stay here). Less than 30 seconds down the path to the beach. Car or scooter rental recommended.

We needed to really relax and this was perfect the whole two weeks we were there. About 50 yards from a beautiful beach, so the sound of the waves was always with us. Lots of greenery complete with monkeys, iguanas, and birds. We had some air travel trouble getting there, but out host (Lina) was always checking on us and made sure that we were taken care of. We had never been to this part of Costa Rica and we are both what could be charitably referred to as "elderly". Yet we never felt insecure and she always looked out for us in a wonderful non-intrusive way. We can't thank her enough, and hope everyone who wants to find what we did looks for La Casita because you'll be so glad you did.

Fabulous Casita just Steps from the Beach!

La Casita is a wonderful oasis literally only steps away from the gorgeous Playa Hermosa and a short drive from Playa Coco. Lina personally greeted us with a warm welcome to her ultra safe and comfortable casita and went above and beyond to make dinner reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant a short walk from the front gate the night we arrived. On the walk from the Casita to the beach we were surrounded by a vast array of gorgeous native plants and flowers throughout the property and met Howler Monkeys in the trees overhead, iguanas, beautiful butterflies, harmonious birds, mangrove crabs, and other amazing neighbors. We loved our stay at La Casita and could not have asked for a better or warmer welcome to Costa Rica than by Lina. We highly recommend this location for any couple looking for the perfect romantic stay on the gorgeous pacific coast of Northern Costa Rica. Pura Vida!!!

Romantic getaway

The property location was perfect! Beach access, close to restaurants bars and stores. The place was clean and had all of the modern creature comforts like wi-fi, tv, and plenty of places to plug in electronics. Bedroom was comfortable and porch was very pleasant. Wish we had stayed longer.

Wonderful stay

La Casita was wonderful. Very short stroll to the beach. The beach area is not very busy. The ocean was perfect. Lina was great - very helpful and introduced us to sapodilla fruit from the property which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Playa Hermosa 1 night stay

Great Location

Great location with a lovely, private beach. Accommodations were nice - only suggestions would be a more comfortable couch or chairs other than the day bed in the living area and providing coffee. Overall, a very nice stay!

Quick trip

We stayed one night at Casita by Lina on the front end of a larger, group vacation. House was great, 50 yards to the ocean, several great bars/restaurants with a short walk down the beach. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully for much longer

What a great little place right on the beach. Loved the proximity to the tours we were doing and the space was perfect for the 3 of us for spring break. Really enjoyed the patio space with hammocks. Had a minor issue with housekeeping not putting a garbage bag in the garbage but I would still highly recommend this place.

A Gem

The only place we have stayed twice. We love it and the location to the beach. It is quiet and relaxing. We stayed for four weeks last year and three this year. Not sure of what we will do next year, since many Costa Rica prices have escalated significantly. We would recommend La Casita for a couple that want relaxation and good vibes.

Beautiful Casita by Lina

Very happy with our 2-week stay in Playa Hermosa. Our host Lina was a delight to work with and her support staff, Karol, made our stay effortless. Great location just off the beach. We enjoyed amazing weather and some great tours (LaFortuna hiking a volcano & waterfall lunch and ending at the hot springs) and a 2-hour guided jet ski experience where we saw a whale, dolphins, white faced monkeys and a crocodile. Very nice local restaurants within a few minutes walk along the beach. 10/10

They were a lot of vegetation around. The beach was close but for a stay of 2 weeks, they should have had a washer and dryer. The greeting was so, so. I found that the price was too high.

Great location

This property is in a great location - I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pics are accurate. Playa Hermosa is a great beach - we liked it more than Playa Coco and it's easy to get to. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of this place, all of them delicious and convenient. The property is nice - well appointed, air conditioning and fans, kitchen supplies, etc. That said, do not do your laundry here. The listing says laundry and when we inquired about it, the property assistant did some for us - we would've been happy to do our own. On the last day of our stay, the owner told us it cost $15. Yes, $15 for one small load of laundry - and we were not informed that there would be a cost at all! The rest of the stay was good.

Lina’s casita in Playa Hermosa is absolutely incredible!

My stay at this property was nothing short of perfect. Situated close to the beach, it offers a hassle free location and within walking distance of several fantastic restaurants. Grocery stores are conveniently nearby, and it’s just a short drive from Liberia Airport. The property itself is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and provides a private, secluded retreat. I can’t recommend this place enough – it truly exceeded all my expectations!

Paradise Slice

The only bad thing that I can say about this rental is that I only had one night in it. It is amazing and Lina was wonderful. I cannot wait to come back and have a longer stay. The beach is so close and is just amazingly peaceful.

Perfect spot in Playa Hermosa

This cottage was so cute and perfect for our needs. We felt very safe. It was well equipped and I'm sure that if we needed anything, Lina was on the property and easily reached. There's a path that takes you right to the beach and you can hear the surf. We hope to come back one day.

Casita by Lina Marvelous

We booked this cute little casita which sits on a gorgeous piece of beachfront with lots of privacy for 8 days (though you do share the soace w main house). We loved our stay. It doesn’t have a beach view, but you can hear the ocean it is so close. The beach is stellar and the distance to beach is an easy walk merely 2 minutes or less to water and once there the views and breeze are outstanding. We felt safe, secure and really enjoyed the nice covered porch (with the beach chairs and towels provided) and the walking access to about 6 good restaurants up and down the beach (about 3/4 mile to furthest one each way). The beach has lots of shells and the water is lovely, but does have a small strip of gravelly section you cross to get into the water—still fine w bare feet!! Once you cross gravelly strip, it is all sand as far as I went out. The beach also offers great shaded areas to stay out of the sun and has very few people on it most pf the weekdays and even the weekend was light use. Lina is an excellent host and has put many thoughtful touches into the cabin. The place has a good kitchen well equipped, a comfortable bed and even some pay-per-bottle wine available if you wish. The porch has great relaxing furniture, nice ceiling fans and even a hammock for use when it rains or you just want to get out of the sun. We definitely want to return! We felt it was an exceptional value. You will probably want to rent a scooter or car but taxi service was available.
