Great condo complex on the beach. The property was clean and well maintained. Short walks to multiple restaurants and mini marts. 24h security. Communication with property manger was easy. The Zindis concierge group was fabulous and super helpful in booking trips, dinners and drivers. Highly recommend!

great condo and location

Spacious and nicely decorated three bedroom three bath condo that shares a pool with the other units. Overlooks in the ocean. Lots of amenities included at the house. Great location especially for people who may want to just be beach/pool bums and walk to restaurants.

Family Time

We had a great time at Sol y Mar! The property is excellent for families, couples, as well as kids. The condo had a well stocked kitchen, and great accommodations. Zindis property management was amazing and responded well, and checked multiple times during our stay.

Sol Y Mar condominiums

Direct access to beach and lovely pool area made this a perfect place to stay on Playa Hermosa. Condo provided beach towels to use were very much appreciated. Washer/dryer was so helpful - especially since we only had carry on bags. Local grocery store just up the road provided all the necessary food/alcohol requirements! Several beachfront restaurants within a 10 minute walk down the beach made dining out easy.

Relaxing- beautiful!

It was very nicely appointed. We had a car and drove to Playa Coco for a bit more action. Perfect for young families since bay keeps water calmer.

A fabulous stay

What a gorgeous condo complex! The grounds were well maintained. Lots of beautiful plants and birds! We saw red backed spider monkeys in the trees at the beach. Lots of great beach side restaurants nearby. We were bummed the hot tub was not working, but the other little issues we had with the AC and water were so quickly fixed when we notified Gustavo. Gus rocks!!! Out until has everything we needed to cook!! Would stay there again!

Couldn't have been more pleased

Such a pleasant and beautiful place to stay. Proximity to the beach was the highlight for me but the accommodations were top notch and grocery stores nearby made preparing food onsite a breeze. Room layout was great, especially with the sequestered casita. Also really enjoyed the patio. We also didn't see any bugs (March). Thanks for a great experience. Hope to return soon.

Amazing property!

The condo was more than I expected! It was clean, beautiful views, so close to the beach, great pool and close to food and groceries. From the booking to checking out, everything was amazing. They had everything from beach towels to umbrellas to flip flops! I am definitely booking again!

Sol Y Mar is the BEST!!!

This is our second time staying at Sol Y Mar and we just LOVE It. Our unit in 4C was fully stocked with everything you need and more. Plenty of nice beach towels, linen and bath towels. The beds were super comfy. Being 10 steps from the beach is just amazing. We enjoyed many nights walking on the beach down to Aqua Sport for dinner. We did a sunset cruise, horseback riding, fishing excursions, zip lining and lot of time hanging in the pool. We will for sure be back and would stay in 4C again. Awesome Vacation and Sol Y Mar is a wonderful place to stay in Playa Hermosa

Amazing!

This was one of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. Amazing beach side location in beautiful, quiet Playa Hermosa. Walking distance to grocery store and several excellent restaurants. The condo unit itself is very spacious, clean and FULLY equipped. Beds were comfortable, lots of beach towels, and the folding lawn chairs were so convenient to bring to the pool area or to watch the sunsets on the beach. Although this unit doesn't have a view on the beach, the courtyard patio with 2 tables and BBQ was really nice and private. We're already planning to return next year!

Peaceful house on beach

Our family loved staying at this condo. The pool and beach area were wonderful. The house included tons of towels and beach toys and everything we needed in the kitchen. The washer/dryer was another big plus. The condo also felt very safe. The rental company was always available if we needed anything. Overall great location and condo.

Best of Playa Hermosa

Sol y Mar is the best condo development at Playa Hermosa. It is right on the beach with easy walking access to 4 or 5 good restaurants. It is a beautiful facility with 24- hour security. Zindi’s management company does an excellent job of maintaining the facility and interacting with guests. It also provides first-rate concierge services. Playa Hermosa is a quiet and scenic beach with a slow pace. We found it to be perfect. Carol, the owner of our unit, was supportive and helpful in every way. Our unit was in excellent condition, well cared for and well stocked.

5 Stars! Amazing & luxurious beachfront property!

From the second I booked our stay at Sol y Mar, it has been a 5 star experience through and through! Everything from the communication with the owner and property management company to the incredible purple and orange pacific sunsets steps away from the luxurious condo complex, nothing could have been better. Marcia, the house manager, was absolutely the BEST and helped make every aspect of our stay enjoyable. She took care of our every whim, even the small stuff! Check in was simple. Check out was simple. Our stay was beyond enjoyable. The condo was elegantly and sufficiently furnished with everything we needed. The pool was steps away. Beautiful property! The beach was steps away from the pool creating an all you can possibly want environment in beautiful Playa Hermosa! The area was secure and impeccably maintained. My family and boys were in paradise throughout our stay. Without question I will be booking again and can't wait to come back to Sol y Mar! What an experience! Thank you to Carol, Marcia and everyone at Zindis for making our vacation truly memorable. My young boys are still beaming from their stay! Thanks again!! See you real real soon!

Exactly as Advertised

4C was great for my family of five. It had everything we needed and was exactly as advertised. The property management company was responsive and pleasant as well as the owner. It is one of the few (or only) properties on the beach so it's pretty special. We alternated between the pool and the beach when we stayed in the area. It is safe and well monitored with on site 24 hour guard. The beach is expansive and even with holy week, there was plenty of room to enjoy. The unit was well appointed. We put our 14 year old in the one bedroom that is separated within the unit. I highly recommend this unit.

Perfect winter escape

We are frequent VRBO travelers having rented in Mexico, Hawaii and Europe. Carol the owner takes great pride in her rental. The unit is well equipped with everything needed for a great vacation. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we travelled to three different locations during our two week vacation. We loved every place we visited but would return to Playa Hermosa. We loved the proximity to Liberia airport. I could easily spend my entire winter escape in Playa Hermosa. The town is small but has great restaurant options and a lovely beach. The condo was spacious with a nice floor plan. It does not have an ocean view but the pool and beach are steps away so this was not an issue. This is a very comfortable vacation rental that I would easily rent again. Carol is one of the most responsive owners I have ever worked with. We had a brief delay at the Zindis office on arrival due to two other groups arriving at the same time but we were left a note instructing us to wait in the bar for the manager and have a drink. The security of the property is excellent. The beach is perfect for walking and the ocean temps were great for swimming. The unit was very spacious for our group of four. The third bedroom had two twin beds which we did not use but we could have added another person or two. I would definitely return to Playa Hermosa and Sol Y Mar. The car rentals in Costa Rica are expensive. It is possible to arrange transfers to and from Liberia to Playa Hermosa. My next visit to Playa Hermosa will be without a car. We did an excursion with Roryrides on the recommendation from the owner. I would contact him for transfer help and excursions on my next visit. We loved our visit! Pura Vida
