Happy Turtle - 60 Steps From The Beach!

  • Located in a quiet neighborhood in a narrow part of Anna Maria Island. Being just 60 steps away from a wide and never crowded beach makes it easy to take numerous beach trips throughout the day. The free island trolley is close-by when you want to explore the island and don't feel like driving. An amazing Spa is literally a few houses away.

    The house comfortably sleeps four. It has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a closet. The living room area offers a 65” smart TV with NetFlix. A fast internet at 30Mb/s is available throughout the house.

    The house is clean, comfortable and well maintained. It has all that you need for a relaxing stay from amenities and appliances, to a large laundry room. There's lots of outdoor and indoor seating areas, including a spacious sun room/veranda.

    Overall, this house offers an easy and relaxing lifestyle due to a great location, spacious floor plan and the exceptional care that owners put into the property.

    * TVs are streaming through Amazon Fire Sticks. You are free to use any of your subscription services, but please remember to log out after your vacation. Would do it again.

A great, clean and roomy place to stay. It’s a perfect location for getting around the island. The owners were available if needed throughout our stay. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice!

Very nice and spacious! Loved how close it was to the beach, but a bit of a walk to restaurants and shopping, which was fine for us.

Great property - perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay here. I loved that it was pet friendly and that my dogs had a fenced in area to be outside. It was a perfect size and amazing location. We had a great time!

Great location

Steps from the beach! Loved having access to beach chairs and a beach cart, it came in handy. Beds were comfy! Would recommend!

Very nice convenient rental

Very accurately represented in app and had everything that we needed. Property manager was very prompt with reply & friendly. Plenty of space inside and outside. Properties around area still have ongoing work from hurricanes but this property was totally complete.

I want to give a bad review, but in good conscious I cannot.

I really want to give this the worst review possible because I do not want this hidden gem to explode in popularity. The unit had everything you could ever want or ask for and the owner truly was great with meeting almost every possible detail you can think of for a beach house stay. Truly an amazing place that I will only refer my dearest friends and family to stay there.

Perfect Quiet Get Away

This beach cottage is just what the doctor ordered. Spacious and comfortable. All you need in a home away from your own. Clean. Great gathering spaces inside and out. Close enough to the trolley stop! Super close to the beach! They added an extra touch with providing SOJO amenities for the kitchen & bathroom. Fenced in yard for our pets! what a plus!!

Great little vacation house

The place is fantastic. Great location just blocks from a trolley stop and the beach. Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Well stocked. Alex is an excellent host. Quick response to each and every inquiry, and offered some tasty suggestions for dinner. I couldn't offer a higher recommendation.

Comfortable ‘clean place

The Happy Turtle suited our needs of a clean, comfortable rental close to the beach. Communication was easy,and Alex was quick to respond. Beds were comfortable, and place was spacious and equipped with most everything we needed. The four season porch that was lovely, could not be used by us, because of the smell of mildew. I’m sure it was related to the hurricane, so we were sympathetic, but sure would have been a great room to utilize while we were there.Also, know your tv passwords for your apps. Any station you want to access needs a log in, with the exception of Pluto.The location really was steps from the beach!

AMI One-Story

This property is in a great location close to beach, but quiet nrighborhood), it’s very spacious, and was quite comfortable. The unit is one story and has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. It has a laundry room, large kitchen area and sun porch, and a small yard. Lots of positive, few negatives. I would suggest adding power strips and blackout shades in bedrooms. Better instructions on using TV (with and without apps) would be helpful. Also, colored strips on the steps up to the sun porch and from the porch to inside, might lessen the chance of tripping (I tripped over both).I recommend and would stay here again.

Our stay was good. Location, location, location. This location is perfect for beach goers. The hosts were very easy/fast to respond to any questions. A few things to others looking at this property. It is not a well stocked property. Very basic. No replacement of paper products. (it does state that in the description) Bring everything you expect to use. There were two chairs, and some sand toys. I did ask the host about beach things so we didn't have to bring, and was told they don't advertise beach equipment so whatever is there is ok to use. Being several steps from the beach you would want your guests to enjoy the beach comfortably. The house was clean but a bit dated. Refrigerator makes a lot of noise. Some maintenance besides cleaning duties that the cleaners would do need some attention. (broken wall decor, outside area needs some upkeep attention) There is a great inside patio area, but not really usable. The air conditioner that is in this area is very old, and to small for the area. This is a pet friendly property which we enjoyed. It is fenced in so you do not have to worry about having your dog outside, but note, there is no grass, so you will still probably need to walk pets. Please don't get me wrong, we did enjoy our stay but wanted inform others of our experience.

Great location and dove for our family vacation. Was close to the beach and was in a nice area to walk around. The owners are very responsive and nice.

Cozy -close to beach

Our time there was awesome. Location is great. Closeness to the ocean perfect. Biggest issue was the internet. Because there is no cable tv, all entertainment comes through the internet. Had to reset the router and fire stick often. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Short walk to beach!

Overall great spot, plenty of room and space for our family. Came with beach gear and the trolley was a major plus. Only downside was we had trouble with the a/c, it seemed to be on a schedule and temp would rise in the middle of the night and was not ideal for sleeping conditions. Also beds need an update, terribly uncomfortable. Location cant be beat!

Family vacation

Extremely pleased, had issue with air conditioning, owner came out personally and tried to fix it at 10:30pm. Had fixed the next morning. Really nice place, great experience. If visiting the area I'd say you should stay here.

Amazing Location

This rental was just about the best location possible and a great price. I love the super short 1 block walk to the beach. I found that this side of the duplex was well worth the small difference in price.I love that I had a private entry and back patio, both closed off and spacious. Having the laundry and extra bathroom made the trip with my mom, husband and kids manageable. I felt that there was plenty of room in the house. An extra dresser would be nice but I made do. This property had amenities I did not expect such as trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and even some beach gear. Keep in mind that this property does not have an oven but only a cooktop. There is a toaster oven and a convection microwave (not sure how it worked as an oven). A crockpot might be a nice item to have. No place is perfect including this one. A few things that were not up to par include: the shower- the hot water runs out very quickly and there is need for a new shower head and repair to the spout. Refrigerator- while this appliance work well, it is missing most of the door shelving which make storage tricky. Mattresses- this is a common issue when not at home but the beds in this house will be the only part of your trip that you will not miss. All in all the pros of this house outweigh the cons! This is a delightful and affordable get away that you won't regret booking!

Always our Go to place Vaca

We always come and stay at this location with Alex. We trust him and it’s always clean and nice to stay here. A lot of others don’t communicate and is so nice as Alex has been. He’s upfront with everything and will do whatever he can to make your stay happy!! 😊
