Great winter getaway for families

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin and had fun times playing games in front of the fire. Well stocked kitchen and working grill made meals easy. View was great from the porch. Would stay again! Thanks!

Best Stay Ever

One of the best properties we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in quite a few. If you’re planning on cooking while staying there, you’re in for a treat. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cookware, serving wear, spices and phenomenal appliances. Enjoy! We sure did.

Mountain top relaxing with a view!

We enjoyed our stay at this eclectic mountaintop property! A few of the highlights were the sunsets on the porch, accommodating kitchen, big wood burning fireplace inside, outdoor gas firepit, puzzles and the view! Each day kept getting better with our stay.

Amazing View

We had an awesome time at this cabin with a breathtaking view. The driving up was a little rough but totally worth it. Very spacious with everything you will ever need. It has definitely been one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The entire family loved it.

Beautiful view!!!!

Beautiful view. View from every window!! Loved the outdoor patio with gas firepit! Close to all the trails and waterfalls we wanted to see ! Love cashiers and the highlands! The only problems we had was understanding the thermostats! And the upstairs lacked hot water!!! Would definitely stay here again!!!! Very happy!!!!!

Wonderful!--Swiss Family Robinson Deck

This house was a dream! There were ten of us, ranging in age from 11-84 years. The first-floor master was perfect for my elderly parents. All the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked—plenty of towels and linens for everyone. And the view!--My sister-in-law refers to it as the Swiss Family Robinson house. Sitting on the deck you feel as if you are nested in a treehouse. The view changes throughout the day as the clouds roll in and is always beautiful. We bought the Sapphire Valley amenity passes at a modest cost ($5 per person for 3 days and kids under 15 free) and enjoyed the lake, pools, and fitness center). We also enjoyed beautiful hikes and waterfalls in Gorges State Park and Pisgah National Forest. The grocery store is about a 15-minute drive, and there are several restaurant options nearby. All in all, it was a great trip and a wonderful house in which to spend the week! I would highly recommend this place.

Perfection!

Amazing home with great space for kids (room with queen and bunk beds) and adults (3 additional bedrooms). Pat was very attentive and the home has everything you could possibly need! Amazing views that are worth the drive up. Road is paved and easy to follow up with caution. Recommend getting groceries in neighboring towns and cooking in the beautiful kitchen. Sapphire Ski Resort was closed when we visited due to warm unexpected warm weather but you can go tubing and ice skating at Highland Outpost/Scaly Mountain. Visit the Sapphire Brewing Company and Highlands for some extra fun!

Fabulous!

It was the best appointed house we have stayed. Kitchen lacked nothing! Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. The views were absolutely amazing. My daughter got married at Lonesome Valley/Canyon Kitchen and we were so pleased with the house. Spacious and great for entertaining. The only and only drawback was the drive up and down the mountain. Fortunately for the wedding we had a shuttle. Such a great place! Wish I was still there.

Amazing Vacation Home

My family and I were all blown away at this beautiful home and the location. The view from the awesome porch is breathtaking. We spent so much time outside on the porch and the sunsets were the best we’ve ever scene. Pat is such a wonderful hostess and we were able to get a hold of her whenever we needed to and she has certainly thought of everything to make sure your stay in her home is the best! If you are looking for a fun day trip checkout Outlaw Adventures for a boat trip on Lake Jocassee in South Caroline (40 min drive) to see the gorgeous lake and waterfalls. We had the best time in this home and will definitely return.

Luxury getaway - high mountain

Great location on the top of the mountain, creates long range mountain views. While there is a ton to do in the area, we have done all that. We found it most relaxing to stay at the house. The large covered deck allowed us to stay outside in all weather and relax. Highlight of the week was a large male black bear just wandering through the back (well below us on the deck) at 1:00pm in the afternoon, amazing creature. Please be safe with your food and garbage management, don't put the bear at risk! Highly reccomended.

High on a Hill

This property is absolutely spectacular. One of the nicest homes we've ever rented. Everything was as promised and even better than depicted in the pictures. It was also nice to have access to the well appointed pantry for spices, etc... If you are looking for solitude and a great escape, this property won't disappoint. The deck is positively wonderful. The subtle wind chimes, passing clouds, and endless views is the kind of stuff dreams are made of. I do have to comment on the road up to the cabin. We found it to be stressful so we didn't venture out as often as we normally would. It took us 12 minutes from the main road therefore, we planned every outing so not to have to make any unnecessary trips up or down the mountain. The road is newly paved but narrow so just take that into consideration. Another thing that took me by surprise was how quiet it was atop the mountain. So quiet, you could hear if there was a fly buzzing around. This is a wonderful place to reunited with family and friends and even discover a thing or two about yourself. To be honest, it took a little getting used to but I LOVE IT! Special thanks to Pat was very responsive and helpful.... she also makes a mean Gumbo Mix which left as a welcome gift. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Sheer Perfection!

All 8 of us were extremely impressed with this magnificient home and matching magnificient view! A variety of nearby outdoor activites fit all our wants. The dining table seated all 8 of us, we cooked, we ate and enjoyed every aspect of the balcony. We spent most of our time around the balcony fire pit and really appreciated all the cozy, warm blankets. This trip was perfect and left us all wanting to do it again next year, but a longer stay!

Best view in the mountains

Beautiful home with a fantastic view of the mountains! If you love to cook, the kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. You can see the view from every room in the house! We plan to return in the future!

Breathtaking, just beautiful

Every inch is just amazing. The view is breathtaking. Every amenity, everything that you can possibly need is already here. I bought everything with me & added the remainder to the pantry. We love it here! We wish we didn’t have to leave. So accommodating, so warm & welcoming! Each room is unique..antiques, unique pieces, rustic additions..everything is amazing to say the least. We’ll definitely be back SOON! Thank you for taking the time and customizing this beautiful cabin to suite everyone that enters. I’m speechless! My 70 year old mom kept saying “this is just magnificent”, she said I outdid myself with this one. She’s been wanting to be at a cabin for a few years now & since God healed her completely last year from covid-19 & I need “peace & serenity” to study for my board exam..it was an opportunity to treat each 1 of us.
